When I'm playing Dust in the middle of the night eating some cheese I keep my TV mute and play songs on my music player. When my squad mate picks me up in his dropship its very cool flying around listening to the rock music on my player. I would love Dust having the ability where dropships can play music where everyone on the battlefield can hear the song. For me it will honestly be very cool if some dropships have the abilities to play music.
These songs will be chosen from a list and not any rap or death metal stuff (I do understand people enjoy that music but it doesn't fit). Here are some demo songs

Of Course they're tons of more songs but I won't be able to think of them.
Now issues can be like everyone blaring a song, I think one side should have the chance to play a song and make it switch time for time. One squad leader who has a certain dropship can play the song.
What do you guys think? |

If tracks would be made part of the client's local assets library, there should be no voice lag... |

ummmmm how do you explain people still listening to classical music? People will always be interested in history. And im sure archives have been found containing old earth music. And it may have gained popularity among the clones. If your a capsuleer or merc you have money. And general cultural beliefs point to the fact that the rich have a higher likelyhood to be interested in the fine arts IE. Old earth Music. |

I don't know what radio you have been listening to, but I doubt you can name the 37th president of the United States or the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1717.
But Michael Jackson... will never die.

Well you make it sound sooooooooooooooo depressing. There is an old saying that goes Rock Never Dies, Even when the Eve gates close.

Or do you want something else? Streaming music to other people in Sony environment is tricky due to DRM... |

Wait, dust supports music from the xmb while in game? This is big news to me. |

Yep, ingame music (from XMB) is a feature of DUST 514 and they don't even promote it! I saw someone mention it in a post somewhere a month or so back. |
