As a player who likes to engage in FW battles I've noticed several issues:
* New battles not created fast enough
-- FW battles fill up fast. Very fast. Clearly they are popular! But it takes too long for a new battle to be created. I can often sit for several minutes waiting for a new battle to pop up. This issue is compounded if you want to play for a particular race and/or need to get a full squad of 6 in.
* Merc tab does not show new/available FW battles immediately
-- If I stay patiently on the merc tab then when an FW battle appears it is often full or almost full - with a reduced change of being able join the side that I wish to fight for. Instead, in order to find and join an FW I find myself exiting and reloading the battle finder since this is a more reliable way of catching a new FW battle. This is a major hassle given the random nature of the issue above!
From my point of view as a player, I make some suggestions:
1) Create a new FW battle for the amarr/minmatar and gallente/caldari wars as soon as a battle is filled to 31/32 players (including the period of time spent waiting for deployment or in the War Barge). Alternatively, create a new battle once either side is filled to 16 players.
2) Show all new/available FW battles in the Merc tab of the Battle Finder IMMEDIATELY
3) Develop and enable an FW battle carousel: let me and my squad fight for a particular race one battle after another - without having to exit and rejoin via the Merc Quarters
Does anyone else have these issues or similar? Any other suggestions for solutions? |

It would be nice to queue up for FW, so if you have a squad of 6 simply queue that you want to fight for Amarr and then you will be placed in the next Amarr battle created without needing to do any further input.
Also it would be nice to distinguish the player counts. I'm sorry, but 24/32 doesn't tell me enough. Is that 12 Minmatar and 12 Amarr slots taken, or 8 Minmatar and 16 Amarr slots taken? |

You're missing the point where Eve Players have to PLEX to create FW battles to begin with. The more they PLEX the more battles. Just creating more and more battles because they are instantly full would break the Eve Online side of FW.
I do like the idea of queueing up though. You get a menu where you can state for what faction you want to fight and if you prefer a special system and then you wait instead of watching the merc tab all the time.
If you go in alone I noticed it's sometimes possibles trying to join over and over again. Sometimes you're in luck and you get into a battle which was full a second ago. |

What if they simply doubled the amount of battles that spawned due to plexing and halved the importance of each ones result? |

Yeah but when were working for the guys who cause the contracts to pop up Aero we don't have to worry about that. |

As I remember from the dev explanations at the time, they said that PLEXing in EVE only determines the location of the dust battles, and not the quantity. I.E. They would open up dust battles in systems that were being plexed the most.
I don't recall them saying that there would be fewer or more battles depending on the amount of PLExing being completed. |

Dynamically created battles FW battles will no longer be created by corporations selecting a district to attack. Instead the server will dynamically generate battles for players to join. Where these battles take place will be based on where complex are being completed in EVE FW.
The system will make sure there is always a battle available to join. So as running battles fill up new ones will be generated.
See? There should always be FW battles to join - it's just the location which is influenced by EVE-side PLEXing. |
