Like title says. No dampeners? Than get behind your team. Geez, your a moving beacon of hope, is what your thinking you are?
*The brightest flame burns quickest*
Then by all mean, grab your torch oh brave hero that you are, and run full tilt in to enemy lines. Flank them as only you can, while holding that bright torch for all to see. for its only you that holds back the night with your magnificent light. Idiot.
anyway.. not all is bad news, here's another dumb ****, caught being a dumb ****.

If everyone gets behind their team there where does the team go? I'm not venturing on my own, I like to think of it as taking initiative and leading. Now get behind me all ye followers. |

Charging forward is fine. I'm more talking about FLANKING, while your beacon shouts "I'm flanking you!" |

Well considering that nearly everyone is running around with the default 10 meter scan radius, profile dampeners aren't going to do you much good. As long as you are not flanking within spitting distance of the enemy you won't be seen on radar. |

I like DUST, everyone is supportive of other people's play-style. It's all about expressing yourself. Don't sweat KDR. Find a style you like to play and play it. Join a corp, squad up, go solo, it's all the same. Just have fun and find your play-style and do what you like. Get out there and discover what you like to do and go for it, because in the end, your play-style is just as good as anyone else's. Have fun. You know, use the endless mixes and matches of the amazingly diverse gear to forge a unique play-style that is all your own and just have fun while play-style your fun unique in a fun solo team corp play-style fun fun. |

When I hop onto my FG Heavy, I make sure to stay away from everyone. First, I run (lol) along the outskirts of any map. I then pinpoint all neutral and red installation turrets, and then I blast away.
Next, I run to the border of the enemy's red line and I perch myself up on a nice mound or hill and wait for any LAVs or HAVs to be called in. After taking those out, I tend to sneak my way onto one of the highest points on the map, and I Forge Snipe away.
Solo Heavy? I think yes. |

It's funny you say this , because just last night I snuck my way all the way around the map in a sentenal suit on domination and stole the enemies cru , blaster , and supply depot behind their red line o.0
not a typical situation , but it was available and was a success |

I ran just yesterday through open field, just outside the killzone, into the flank of an organized proto squad and got five kills before they even noticed me. They then went on to focus me while i'm casually sitting behind cover, waiting for my team to roll them over as they just abandoned the main front.
No dampeners were used, just distance. |

You didn't know? Heavies are the new Scouts.
In likeness to your story, in a match today, I "ran" directly into the red line and capped a supply depot with my HMG Heavy who is rocking complex armor plates.
How was this done without anyone noticing me? I have no clue, and I actually had doubts that I'd have enough time to run out of the red line to survive. Luckily, I survived the ordeal but was run over by an LAV shortly after. |

Solo Heavy? I think yes. Tell me, during all this blasting, when do you find the time to run (lol agreed) to a supply depot? Forge guns eat up ammo. |

The number of people with situational awareness is surprisingly small. Stealthy flanking is not usually too difficult. |

Today I ventured into a firefight the way I always do it: by spawning into the MCC... this time, however, something was amiss; there was no MCC!
The ground was approaching fast.
I didn't let this sudden turn of events phase me further, however, and after the initial shock I activated my inertial dampener and landed safely. I let my instincts take over me and immediately ran into cover behind a mountain, deep in friendly redline, dropping an uplink near my feet as soon as I felt safe.
My job done, I went AFK for the rest of the match.

If you don't have dampening flanking can be a good option to alleviate the pressure on you're team a bit. |
