....the center of the crosshairs. It helps during hip fire and will let you know whether you truly hit the player or missed them. Because of the color of the crosshairs...it is hard to see during a cqc battle, for me, sometimes. Placing the dot in the middle will solve that issue.
I am assuming that this is a simple modification but I'm no developer. |

Pseudogenesis wrote:Many FPS games don't have that dot, for the simple reason that hipfiring is supposed to be just that: firing from that hip. You're not allowed a visual interface to see where your bullets should be landing, so you're shooting blind, so to speak. It's a quick and easy way to match the in-game justification (Not having a visual interface) with the player's experience (Not being able to tell where the bullets will go.) Why would they remove it?
If you really want it that badly, get a tiny piece of white tape and put it in the center of your crosshairs.
Many fps games don't have flaylock pistols, lasers, and shields, armor either. You're bidding against a dot in the middle of the crosshairs as sif it will break the game like some of these weapons that most of you guys vie for.
Since you want to talk other fps shooters...MAG has a dot in the crosshairs and it was fine. |

With due respect, I am not concerned with the rationale. I don't think I asked why there isn't a dot but I have to check the op. I just asked for one. |

Brilliant way to support your position and enact the changes you crave. I'm sure CCP is more than willing to cater to your personal tastes, regardless of the lack of discourse provided to support them.
No...what I am saying is that it doesn't matter why other shooters haven't implemented it. I've already stated why I would like to see a dot in the crosshairs.
The following is similar to what is going on here..
I am designing a car. I'd like to add safety belts so I propose it at a meeting. The response that I get is that other car companies don't install safety belts because it will give the impression that safety belts are dangerous.
What difference does it make why the other companies (fps games, in this case) aren't doing something? The only reason to state why other people aren't doing something is to state whether it is practical or not. This game has the most ridiculous weapons in a shooter (not seen in others), so the reason why another shooter doesn't have one is irrelevant. And that is what I am saying.
If you're against it, then state why it is a bad idea. Don't tell me why other shooters aren't doing it...who cares? |
