Driver dies from AV nades while the vehicle still has plenty of HP left.
Driver dies from tanks firing at the vehicle while the vehicle still has plenty of HP.
Gunner dies if vehicle is rammed in the front.
I've called 8 llavs in over the last couple days and have died driving every time from non skilled shots, I understand getting killed driving by a skilled sniper shot or someone aiming right at my head, but driving thru a group of infantry throwing av nades should not kill me unless my vehicle pops, there is a huge hit detection with these right now. |

Once an AV nade starts homing in on a vehicle it is "live". The first thing the nade hits causes it to explode whether its the target or infantry in the way. In the past I have thrown AV nades at tanks and had an infantryman standing in front of it die because the grenade tried to go through him. AV nades also have a small splash I believe.
Blaster turrets have splash damage. Drivers still take splash damage.
I don't know about that third one though. |

with the third one it could simple be you drove into a location where he collided with some invisible thing and he took the damage
or got sniper |

remember you can be shot out of your vehicle by anyone. if you are the first thing to be hit then you take the damage and the vehicle doesnt.
its as simple as that |

The hit box on the vehicle is messed up IMO
There is no way people are hitting me this much while I'm driving at full speed, I literally die driving every time while my vehicle has full health... EVERY TIME!
I'm really not the murder taxi type of person but even just driving to a checkpoint to hack it I get killed driving. |

its certainly messed up atm, can't say i dislike the fact that firing at an LAV with my tank generally kills the driver before the LAV, but i doubt its intentional... please though take your time fixing this F LAVs and their drivers. |

I shoot people out of LAVs all the time. There's no better feeling than nailing some dumb Logi murder cab driver with my Forge and watching his body fly out of the car just before my team hacks and steals his 100,000+ whip. It's a euphoric feeling.
That said, you say you're not a murder cab but all the complaints sound like one. When I drive from location to the next I very rarely get blow up or dies. Just avoid tanks and if you're not trying to run people over you should have no problems with avoiding AV grenades.

I skilled into llavs on Friday I believe and stopped driving them completely on Saturday, I will not be buying/calling another one in again... Complete waste of sp. |

To me it seems like LAVs only use is for moving around fat suits. If you're not a heavy they're pointless, unless you're trying to get cheap kills by running people over and if that's the case I hope an AV grenade eats you alive :P
The only exception to what I said above is when you use a logi vehicle in the correct fashion. They can be quite useful riding behind tanks and infantry and repairing them, but this is rarely done. |

I have had this problem multiple times, though for me it is usually being shot by the 80GJ blaster from a tank. The shots have killed me from all sides, most of the time through the back of the limbus as I'm driving away from them. Infantry guns have also done this to me though, and I have been able to get back to my limbus after respawning once.
I'm guessing with the blaster it may be the slight splash damage that the 80GJ blaster seems to have, though the infantry shots seem to just go through the back of the lav. |

I was driving a rather expensive C-LLAV once and got killed while I was turned AWAY from a Blaster Tank. He was literally shooting at my Turret Hardpoint, and I still died. Thankfully, it didn't get blowed up (Grammar FTW), or stolen. :) |
