Died, again. Dropped to a black screen from death. It was an explosion so there was no chance of revival. However, all I got was a black screen. Unable to pull anything up: player list, neocom, squad although I could still squad chat. When the match ended I had the chat channels up so the DS3 worked but I had been unable to detect any results as I heard no sounds. There was plenty of battlefield noise going on.
Edit: this was different from the last black screen I got. That one I actually deployed and could fire my gun. But the player list and neocom would display. This time there was nothing at all. |

I had this last night also, exactly the same. Could hear and talk to squad but no button other than the home button did anything. Had to restart the game then the next match we qued for the 1st spawn was fine then I died and respawned and it was like all the frames dropped or I was lagging however after a quick speed test my net showed as fine. I then died again cause I was still in the field but jittering everywhere and couldn't do much and the 3rd spawn just wouldn't happen. Possibly related *shrug*
I don't recall the times though cause I just gave up and went to bed after. |

Allowed me to choose to quit the game.
Quick edit, I've just done that whole rebuild database thing along with the other option I forget the name of to see if that makes a difference but I doubt it. Will see if it happens again. |

Playing an hour or so before shutdown today (13, July) I got this black screen again. I was in a Minmatar Logi Suit, died, respawned and when I deployed the screen went to black. I could fire my weapon and reload. At least the audio files played. No squad mates were close so I was unable to verify exactly what was happening.
Once the battle ended I got the Victory/Defeat screen and the remaining end of battle bits. Dropped back to Quarters and it was fine after that.
Is this a map issue, suit issue or what Devs?
Maybe the optimized draw distance went negative?  |
