Does anyone have any information on how these weapons will work? Is there any information or has nothing been released/decided by CCP yet?
For reference, here is a list from the wiki with the weapons that are not yet released.

The Bolt and Ion Pistols have no current foils in Dust at the moment but if we look at the trending of current weapons we could make an assumption that the Ion Pistol might have a higher RoF than the current Scrambler and Flay Locks, and that the Bolt pistol will pack a punch and have the best range of the pistols.
The Combat Rifle is to mimic the Burst Rifle and is Minmatar in origin.
Mag Sec SMG if Im not mistaken will be a Caldari SMG side arm, again probably with a longer range than the current SMG, but we could also assume that perhaps its designed to fulfil and niche role in caldari weapons opposite to their racial style of war, and thus is short ranged and lacking high damage. Could mimic the breach SMG.
Precision Rifle if Im not mistaken will be Matari in origin, mimicking the Tac AR though I don't really know which racial profile it fits into.
The Rail Rifle is the Caldari AR variant much like the breach however if should mimic caldari warfare style of long range, low RoF, and high projectile damage\. |

Bolt pistol is a Caldari high damage railgun pistol
Ion pistol is a Gallente pistol that can do CHARGE SHOTS
Combat rifle is a Minmatar burst assault rifle
Magsec SMG, not much is known except its Caldari, its a freakin SMG, and railgun tech so it has better range than the current SMG
Precision rifle is a Minmatar sniper rifle
Rail rifle is a breach-AR like Caldari AR that has a lot of range. |

Seeing how they all have Pistol/Rifle or SMG at the end, I think you just pull the trigger.
The Bolt Rifle will shoot bolts, which have a rope at the end so you can swing from building to building.
The Combat Rifle is used in Combat.
The Ion Pistol is used to defrost and heat all kinds of matter.
The Magsec SMG pulls metal bits towards it, and then repels them towards wherever you point the business end.
The Precision Rifle is very precise, it hits were you aim at.
The Rail Rifle is like the sniper rifle, without the Sniper. |
