Anyone hear about any changes to Lasers coming soon?

I really want to go back to using it, but I also like seeing what I am shooting at. It seems the laser voice has fallen to to wayside and no more forum posts that I have seen have come up lately. I also haven't seen but maybe 2 lasers in over a month. This saddens me greatly. I am almost through with the meat of my current build to be effective in PC. After that I will pick up lasers again with or without any fixes. Thoughts?

The other two have the same dmg as they have always had. The difference is I can't see my target since uprising build. I will pick up at least the basic laser rifle and run it from time to time just to keep true to my Amarr heritage. I might try to become a pro with the current blindsights so when they take them off I will be even more deadly than before uprising.

Iron sights on a gun that already had a laser sight was silly. I have not heard of any Buffs to the gun. Its not that awful, I still get kills with it. you just have to be in the right place at the right time. each map has about 1-2 spots where you can be effective. IF you cant be in those spots, or there is nobody around , just put it away. outside of its %100 optimal the dmg isn't enough to do anything. with the new ranges added to weapons, i wouldn't be surprised if an AR does more dmg at the lasers optimal. Don't bother skilling it. If your target is going to die from any laser, a STD will do just fine. If CCP thinks the Explosive dmg from flaylock/drivers/locus are where they should be. The laser needs to be buffed HUGE ASAP to counter that. How was the Old viziam Insta popping MLT Caldaris any worse than the FP insta popping any Armor tanker. or any MLT suit. you don't even need laser precise aiming at a distance.

I kill equally as effective in both builds. The ADS hasn't affected my awareness to the same degree others claim it has.

If the frame rate is better now, I might be able to use it more effectively again.

The problem is that even though there was no change to STD or ADV laser damage, both of them have still been nerfed. If I remember correctly the laser used to overheat at 20 rounds left in magazine, now the STD overheats at 40, the ADV at I believe 37, PRO at 34 (those may be off by one or two). So basically what this means is that by the time youre doing serious damage you have now also overheated and done anywhere between 150 to 250 damage to yourself (have fun killing yourself if youre under fire). Also, without sharpshooter the laser suffers from a pathetic range now that is made worse by having the smallest optimal in the game (at 17m I believe). So people can run in or out of your optimal very quickly, or just return fire and kill you since the max range on them is pretty garbage and wasn't fixed when the scram got fixed. This was worse pre-tac nerf, but anybody that has played Dust longer than a month can easily counter a laser now.
