Let's QQ now about turret installations before they are out.

Tanks will call in suppy depots to repair them selves. Infantry will call in CRUs instead of using uplinks(maybe, but prolly not), and you know snipers be calling in the rail turrets. I believe we will need to skill into them as we do vehicles and suits. I am not sure if turret skills will be the same, for now they are. What do you think rail turrets will do to the game? Who will Q.Q the most? Vehicle drivers? These things are gonna be menaces to dropships, fighters, LAVs, HAVs etc... AV users? Naturally they will probably get mad because of the advantages of skilling into turrets over skilling AV. To be honest, I didn't skill AV because I am waiting for installations. Saving my points. Installation users? "Everytime I call for my installation someone gets on it before me! Derp derp!"

They won't be like the ones that are preset on the battlefield. We will be able to outfitt them like we can with our other fittings

Do you have a source for that? One the patches in chromosome added a turret and supply depot to item database. We also used to have a section in the market for installations. We can actually call them in RIGHT NOW, but we do not possess them to call them.

I have no doubt they will cost millions of isk, but don't think for a second they will pop as easily as a preset turret and don't think we will put them where they can be shot. I think railtank sniping might change to rail installation sniping, I remember when people would call tanks ontop of mountains and towers.

I was thinking the exact same thing, we're going to need a buff to player owned installations whenever that becomes a thing. I'm more interested in drones. DUST needs a more casual pastime, and drones could offer not only that, but also an option for the hardcore players as well. Well, the ones that aren't too busy QQing that the AI just whooped their asses, anyways

People can still call in tanks on top buildings and mountains. Seen it happen last week.

If a player earns a certain amount of WP, they are allowed to call in an installation. But only the player or their squad (Greens) would be allowed to use it. Price range should be the same as Turrets. Proto should cost a million + fittings (If permitted)
