about being run over. Some times i feel like i am a frog on a road. I always wake up fine and dandy at my CRU but these nightmares always end with my corpse being crumpled under a LLAV. |

I also have this one dream where i am reloading and no matter how loud I scream at my teammates they let an enemy walk right thru the lines and gun me down. It doesnt stop there, this assailant turns and guns them down just as mercilessly. |

You guys got it to huh? I find I can't sleep either, I wake up, but find I was already awake. Sometimes I'm in a stolen LAV, sometimes I'm just standing there on the MCC deployment deck. Its like my life is passing by me in flashes. One minute I'm capturing a Null Cannon for my employer and the next I'm looking at a mercenary roster on the Warbarge.

Gods and spirits, and I thought I was having trouble.
Capsuleers have a "skillbook" knowledge-download course in "Infomorph Psychology" they are required to undergo before they can begin switching between multiple bodies ("jump cloning"). It's meant to help prepare a mind to cope with the reality of handling multiple bodies in different locations.
... only, of course, our own "skills" are all hardwired tools rather than actual knowledge ...
Still, it does seem like we need something similar, and badly. |

Anyone else keep hearing this WONG sound? The clones who I've spoken with about this hear different things.
Example: A director and I were in battle on some planet(they all look the same). So we ambush some scum and he pops ones head. He exclaimed " i love the DONG!"
Awkward....
Actually I couldn't stop laughing and givin him **** for it.
Still all I hear since i got those sharpshooter upgrades is WONG WONG WONG. |

Draw a clock for me, Will. Err, Mr. Daedra. When you're on your own, drawing this clock will help to make sure you know where you are at any given time, as well as remind yourself of who you are. |

I was in the same place as you before. The nightmares I mean. I kept having the same dream of the time some punk picked me off with a sniper rifle when I was uprooting local militia from a mining site. It would be a clean shot, putting me out instantly without ever knowing what happened. Then all of a sudden I wake up in a CRU, just like every other time one of those Minmatar teenage hacks managed to get in a lucky shot. I think to myself "when I find that kid I am going to let him know exactly how painful hybrid rounds are when they bore through your head" and I wait for the CRU to open. Only it doesn't. It never does. Seconds go by before I start to feel the fluid around me boil. I just sit there, trapped and screaming into my helmet as I am burned alive without ever even knowing what happened.
As it turned out, the logistics airborne unit that was due to provide a fresh batch of clones got shot down on their way into the combat zone. Our intel never mentioned anything about these hick miners having access to swarm launchers, there was no way the pilots could have known to keep an eye out for them. The CRUs controls were shot to hell but were still active for a good seven minutes until the components finally melted from the heat of the fire that burnt from the wreckage. When I rotated off that planet I hunted down the man who was routing troop spawning through the system from the MCC and beat him within an inch of his life. No one even thought of stopping me, I wasn't the only one who woke up in those VTOLs.
Anyway, I think I can help. See, I decided to take a break from the action for a few weeks after that, but the nightmares followed me. I ended up in the company of some Guristas chick running medical supplies into and out of a pirate haven. A weekend with here was enough to dull the pain, and drugs she sent me home with keeps me doped up enough so I can unwind before my next fight. If you like, I can get you in contact with her. She is a sweet gal, I am sure she would love to help you. |

Oh you guys are just lucky. Talking of nightmares about being run down or gun down.
You should have heard the stories of the original clones talking in their sleep in a strange language none of us could understand. And the noise when they started bashing their heads on the metallic poles of our dorm beds... till it broke and they started digging in their brains and writing stuff with their own blood.
That...was a nightmare. |

There seem to still be a couple of afflicted first-gens running around-- or else certain of our fellow second-gens are using the first-gen sickness as an excuse for acting as though they've gone mad. |

Rather a proto than a Toxin.
Do you remember that sensation you get from time to time, that feeling that your organs are dissolving and you know you should be praying for a syringe of medical nanites but you really can't get out of that clone fast enough? That's the Toxin.

The mind tires, even if the body does not. Sleep and dreams allow our minds to order themselves, to work through and settle the information they contain.

I never sleep, rather the reanimation becomes my nightmare. I can't tell the deaths apart anymore. It's all becoming jumbled in my head. The worst recurring conglomeration of deaths involves an Madruger Nova knifing me in the back and then using me as ammo for it's railgun to take out the CRU where I wake up again to find myself in someones grenade pouch from which I am thrown to keep anyone from rezzing my freshly stabbed corpes which a nullcannnon is trying to hack.....maybe i should try to get some of this sleep.... |

I guess living in this drone infested mud hole of a system is finally getting to me. I keep having the same dreams over and over. I start out at home in my captains quarters and get up and head towards my hanger. Everything seems normal until I undock, instead of undocking in a ship I undock straight into space. I see the planet below the station and I start to fall towards it.
I burn through the atmosphere like the blast from a forge gun. I can't see the ground because of the clouds and I begin to worry that I am going to hit the ground, I reach for my inertia dampeners to slow my race towards terra firma . I punch through the clouds and see that I am very close to the ground and I can just make out some type of metallic mass splorking across the ground.
I activate my dampener, ball up and land. So much dust in the air that I can almost taste it; then I hear it. A sound that sounds like no other. It is like listening to the bastard child of a laser rifle and HAV screaming in pain. Where is it but more importantly what is it - there is something moving through the dust and smoke. I can see its outline through the atmosphere and that damned noise...I can't stand that noise, why is it so loud?
Then I realize what is going on. Coming through the smoke is some type of grounds based attack drone and the mass on the ground was the invasion army. That sound is thousands of those things hovering over the ground with some type of propulsion system. There are few sizes of them and all I can think is how bad I want them dead.
I reach for my mass driver so I can engage them at range but it is too late, I had hesitated to act. I had looked too long at that noise; that noise is terrifying and hypnotic at the same time. In the time it took me to grab my weapon and take aim it had accelerated and was on top of me. It was like fighting molten metal, every touch damaged my suit. I am deep into armor now with alarms and warnings about decompression buzzing in my head. Where's my mass driver? Where's the trigger? Good night you monstrous machine and take that damned noise with you.

Judging by this everyone seems to have some kind of problems, and I have to admit I have some too. I occasionally feel phantom pain from the gunshot wounds I had on my previous clone, sometimes I feel like some of my bodyparts are missing after I was caught in an explosion before my death. It feels weird. |

I had a dream about my forge gun not working properly. Hundreds of soldiers in Proto Assault suits were begging me to destroy a feirce tank. I kept pumping out shots and could not bring it down. i couldnt save them. every one was gunned down. As my RDV was dropping off my maddy i tried to get a wounded merc to safety. In his arms was a sign that read "nerf the FG". After I caved in his skull with a left hook I searched his corpse for an EXO or something, i found a solitary fused locus grenade. |

I am starting to have some serious issues. My dreams are becoming more and more abstract. The original horrors of war have begun to be replaced by vast polymorphist creatures and writhing masses of debased cephalopods in deep sea trenches on alien worlds. In my waking hours, I and feeling increasingly unsettled in otherwise calming situations.
When I spoke with a tech he insisted that the third generation implants I operate on are prone to causing "rapid onset dementia." Thankfully he explain that it was simply a physical issue, not a mental breakdown. When I swapped into a new clone with a newer implant (and a fresh brain) I could think clearly, but the horror of those months I would spend in low-cost third generation stock clones still leaves me unnerved. |
