I agree that flaylocks are annoying but its more of an "HTFU" issue really. Having the status of sidearm doesnt mean you cant kill people with it, some people I know run it as their main. Besides, you do realize how hard it is to hit anything with it beyond shotgun range? |

I say keep the Flaylock (more or less) as is at lest until all the other sidearms are out. |

Not only, Flaylock pistols are one of the reasons Logi-Assault players are going back to assault instead of abusing Logi..so fine by me. |

I think that if a SA is being used as a main it is a little over powered, or else people would be using the weapons designated as main. You dont see anyone running around with normal pistols as thier "main" weapon, because they dont take out Proto DSs with one direct hit. Personally i think its a sorry excuse for a nade launcher IMHO. I'm at work and can't look at the specs for it, so it would have been nice to have them posted as info at the top of the post. |

Maybe...but you DON'T HAVE TO HIT ANYTHING. Just hit the ground near them a couple of times and you're good. |

Not use a side arm as a main? Tell that to me and my son-in-law who mainly uses pistols and machine pistols in CoD.
Just because you don't use a side arm as a main doesn't mean that it won't fit someone else's playstyle. As was similarly said earlier, just because they're sidearms doesn't mean they should suck and not kill mercs. |

The flaylock also has a guidance system that tracks targets. I can see a pistol being more effective in COD as they are modern soldiers wearing today's technology. But this premises is a little different being that we are playing immortal clones wearing shields and advanced armor. Even in COD it takes a couple shots to kill someone with a side arm. In any case, play style in any game is dependent on gear, and if you think any pistol besides the flaylock is useful as a main wield be my guest to equip as many as you want. |

I regularly use SMGs for close combat encounters and do fairly well with them. |
