Until you give us the fit what you say has no meaning.
Besides, if you do get the same HP, you're either slower than a bag of bricks, or can't regenerate or regenerate so slowly that you need to wait in cover for half the game.
Also, anti armor weapons do more damage and are easier to use against armor than anti shield weapons against shields.
So 500 Armor HP < 500 Shield HP |

Nanohives are limited, unless they recharge, and move with you, this isn't a worthy comparison.
They can be destroyed as well. |
