No, I feel like, besides being outnumbered, it's the only thing that can kill my armor AND shield tanked protosuit. |

Not really.... it's always been a pile of doody since Uprising
But seriously though, it's not too bad. The turning speed of the heavy is certainly a concern, and compounds any problems you might be having with killing people.

Grenades, flaylock pistols, mass drivers. Most people carry Locus nades, and Flaylocks these days, rendering any armor tank suit worthless. |

Maybe the increased strafing while keeping the turning speed slow and unresponsive is my current issue. I had no problems until today. |

HMG has been ripping me up lately. Gotta go back to turning and running when I see a heavy that gets too close. Haven't had to do that in a while. I think knowing I can't win every fight is one thing that really makes this game fun for me. |

I went almost 100% forge during uprising 1.0. I'm now using my HMG with new found confidence.
I was tearing it up with my HMG the past two nights. I think you're doing it wrong. Carry a core flaylock with it and you're golden. |

Exactly What I noticed too.
What 1.2 mean for Heavies :
- Increase game speed, including strafing jumping and running. Not in the heavy favor....still slow turning speed. I have been turned around and played with more than ever, Tracking is a BIG concern for me when in CQC. Big enough I wont be touching the HMG for a while. It's a good weapon for CQC ranges, but in the current combo with the slow turning/tracking, it's effective when hitting, but not fun.
We have said this since a while now, with 1.2 it's even more apparent.
- Increased max range, nice buff for everyone. From the point above, we now need to fight in a specific range area, not too far, not too close. Harder to close the distance, but also give more suppresive fire possibilities with the HMG.
- Forge gun have a better hit detection, so splash damages seems to work great. Enjoyed it more than ever.

Its the increase if staife speed making it harder track in cqc combat. Otherwise the gun is fine |

The mouse is going to make tracking better for anyone for obvious reasons, its main advantage is being able to whip your fat ass around 180' quickly and negate your slow turning radius. If you make sharp fast movements to spin around with the mouse you will only go so far and hit the turning cap but if you try and move the mouse continuously in a smooth motion one way kinda like an analog would (feels ******** and unnatural compared to playing a regular PC shooter) then you just spin around in circles really quickly depending on your sensitivity and dpi settings.
Has made playing heavy ALOT easier than with a controller where you basically get your ass completely slapped when people are behind you. |

If u get suppression pints for the hmg, like in battlefield, it maybe be worth it to go heavy and it would be fun to. |

It still can't compete with assault rifles. They may have gotten a range buff, but ARs but a waaaay bigger range buff. |

IMO it has become better. Atleast I'm not so useless anymore when not within 30-40m. Still I prefer my Forge Gun if the fight isn't in tight spaces. |

HMGs are even more deadly now with that added range
The problem I think is a lot of people havent adjusted to it quickly so they try to get within their old optimal ranges which just gets them eaten up at a range Scouts with shotguns seem to be having that problem as well, Ive seen them not fire at me while they are in range to cause damage and instead try to get up close for the one shot kill |

If you are speced into flaylocks, you should duel wield them. Why downgrade to an HMG? |
