I know it's been a while since we've had this discussion, so I figured I'd reiterate. With 1.2 came the revival of the Nanite Injector. They're actually worth carrying now, and I've noticed a lot more players using them. I have a Logi alt that has a NI, so I know that the difference is amazing.
One thing I have noticed though is people are so used to not being picked up because 1) NI's didn't work properly and 2) No one really carried them anymore because of reason 1. Either out of habit or impatience, I've seen so many people drop 15m away from me and respawn before I can revive them.
Reviving teammates is a WP cash cow, makes games more objective oriented, and saves ISK for everyone that is revived. The only downside to being revived is sometimes you get killed right away. That does suck, but IMO it's worth the risk a lot of the times if you're an ISK minded player.
So keep that in mind next time you die. People are using NI's effectively again. |

The new "revive on kill screen" mechanics is awesome too.
People are slowly starting to acclimate. I've had several OMS games hit the timer cause people kept reviving. |

Hey, you should put the slide maneuver up in your OP if you can still edit it. But great topic though. This should be number one on the list in the Dust guide for dummies (no offense to anyone of course) |

Understanding that nanites work, I tend to wait for a revive whenever I die. The sad thing is that no one ever revives me... |

IIRC crouch and move as you're being revived and you will slide out of the way instead of stupidly standing there for 2 seconds. |

You just need to be holding the left stick in any direction and you slide away when you get picked up, also works when landing from a inertial dampener you can slide along while in the crouching animation. |

Oh! I do that subconsciously. I did notice a little slide, but thought the game was just lagging. TIL. |
