I'd like a respec. I'm sure a lot of people do. If you guys would add a system to the game to respec on the spot. Just have a cost. Say 5 maybe 10% of their lifetime sp.. Just a thought. |

From a business perspective having AUR only respecs make perfect sense, but for some reason people hate the idea. Yet at the same time complain on the forums about development when that feature would pay for more development. Go figure. |

Respecs should be offered after all new updates IMHO.

I am against respecs from here on out unless CCP really screws something. But if respecs are added as an option it should cost no less than $20 worth of aurum plus at least 10% of your SP and only allowed once. Maybe once per year. |

Munch Thats what im saying. They made me respec into other ****, because other **** was broken, then I play something else and its broken, now we come to another update, and they fix the other ****, now I dont have sp because im in the **** that was fixed while the other **** was broken.
I would pay a small amount to have a respec though... seriously. Its ridiculous. Especially if you spent over 10mill on some other ****.. |

If I were CCP, I would make respecs purchasable on the market for like 20,000 AUR just to annoy you lot :) |

Perhaps an optional aurum respec only for the field in which new content is released, will appease all parties.
E.g. Minmatar & Caldari rifles are released. 10,000 aurum gets you a complete refund of all Assault/Scrambler rifle sp. |

You can't have P2W respecs because a respec can't shoot you. Now if it was a weapon then yeah P2W, but it is not. The main arguement I have seen from people who don't like the respec idea is that they are saying they think people will just gravitate to the OP flavor of the month. Which is really saying that they are worried people will be better than them and kill them. Any arguement that is based off of personal gain is immediately invalid as a legitimate complaint. The fact is AUR only respecs would prevent people from abusing it if priced right($10 - $20 for instance) and would infuse the game with much needed revenue to fund developement. How else do you think this game is going to succeed if people don't spend money? CCP is a business and isn't doing this out of charity. They are doing this to make money. |

I think this has been said before, but the best way to go about this game is annual respecs. |

Gradual SP Refund System
Each week, you gain 1 Skill Refund point. This point can be used to take a level out of any skill that you've placed points in. These points stack for forever, but once used are gone. This allows people to gradually make adjustments to their build or save up for more drastic changes. Everyone gets it, no one is left out, no ones ego is bruised, no AUR needed, no frowny space pilots....
It's good business to offer your customers ways to enhance their experience instead of forcing them to ride the roller coaster of buffs and nerfs by the seat of their crystal ball.... |

I would like this game to not become a non-persistent cash-cow, where no choices you make have consequences (Or don't have enough consequences) because you can just Respec them away. |

What's the point of boosters if your SP becomes irrelevant beyond some 15m because you can just proto respec into everything?
You cannibalize one revenue stream with another.
Oh and this:

There's a lot of ground to cover and the issues presented within those posts (as well as other posts in that thread) really do require an address before any such idea should be considered for adoption into the game. Cheers, Cross FYI you can link directly to the post by clicking the post number. I'll link the posts you mentioned here, here, and here to make it easier for anyone interested. The above covers standard concerns related to unlimited respec (aka all respec that do not have a specific hard cap on total lifetime number). I look forward to your reply regarding the concerns raised in the quoted links. Cheers, Cross

While I'm not vehemently opposed to respecs, I don't understand why so many people want them so badly. They make sense in a game like WoW, where you have a set number of skill points to allocate, and then you're stuck. In Dust, if you decide you made the wrong choice, or just want to try something else, you can just use the SP you're continually earning to go in a new direction. |
