I think their refusal to jump on the Youtube bandwagon early on and their televised program killed what they had. They could have been big.

Actually It's quite the opposite. This game is THIS game because it's different. That's why there is so much hate on it. People just want to shoot, shoot, shoot, kill. People want to play the same game that they've been playing because it's 'fun' to them.

I agree I liked PS2 (Playstation not planetside) because it was more about challanges and not graphics I had fun in chromosome but not anymore in uprising because the Assault AR combo is king CCP balances based on what the players think, and most of the players are Assault AR noobs who cnt hit the broadside of a barn, and now their murdering EVERYTHING just cuz they Q.Q on the forums saying "Oh gwash Wny Cunst I hut Thus Scout Behond Teh Wall!!! Guewsh I'll Justs Q.Q on the forums till theyts SLOWER(!!!) Thewn haevyth.  Just about 2 quit the game cuz of this  |

Bad players control dust, they rather call in a super jeep and chase you around the map then kill u with something that involves the slightest amount of skill. And a bad player at a game will never admit that theyre bad, they will say you have an aimbot, lag switching etc. The drama is fun though and keeps this game alive for me, then play saints row to get my kicks. |

This was great. I think it's a lot about catering to the populous these days where gamers that have grown up on the original basis of games "grew up" in them. But games today have to cater to casual for a broader market because they no longer have anything to prove. The gamer genre has aged bro. That's it. You have gamers frustrated that games lost something when we chat about how evolution came from an Atari or NES then the guy posting below you is like "My first favorite game was XXXX for the Playstation!" You just lost so much history and challenge and game "concept" to a gaming industry that has created the "Gratification and progression is a must." to keep them spending.
(I wasn't ignoring PC gamers rocking the 8086 monochrome btw)
a 30 something learning to play now that he has a bit of money to spend on FPS (because it also played Bluray) the past 10 years is not a 30 something who spent his allowance on a NES 20-25 years ago. (Damn I got old) And those younger than 30 well. . see my point above.
I wonder how many people who picked up gaming AFTER a specific year date could play a NES game and not rage quite after playing a level over 500 times because it's a challenge and it's what you do in a game. Not get to some BS cutscreen and be herded along. Of course they also made games oober long and not everytime you turn it on, HEY Level 1.
Give a player today a game where once you jump there is no control in the air?! LOL Gets them everytime.
