Our DUSTies can't access the channels they need to, because the channel dialog suddenly has a length cap that's too short.
Please fix immediately. |

Our channels that are broken are all 14-15 characters long. The text entry field refuses to allow us to enter more than 12 characters. |

it's not CCP that runs out of bytes, it's the amount of memory needed to set aside on the PS3 to display the channel names.
small things like that can make a difference when you're pushing what you can get out of 512MB of ram in the PS3.
* someone should have checked how many channel names were over the new limit though and truncated them or something before they made the change. |

The problem, LXicon, is that DUST isn't a lone game, it shares channels with EVE. And plenty of EVE channels are over twelve characters. So cutting off access to them from DUST isn't an acceptable solution. |

you can, of course, still be invited to those channels. My problem is that I'm in channels without anyone I keep in my contacts list or PSN friends. I could mail somone, but you need to spell their names exactly for that, and too many people use strange names or their names are loaded with X's and -'s |

A couple of our channels CCP broke I'll invite people to via EVE. But some of them are specifically used as op formup channels and stuff, and people are supposed to regularly be joining and leaving them. |
