Normally, for a Minmatar Logistics, I will throw flux grenades (and for some odd reason will get kills or killed by the grenade itself ) to take care of the Proto Caldari Logistics beating them 4-1 but lately people have been using them as assault suits which is giving every logistic suit a bad rep. This is primary due to people summing up all logistics instead of focusing Caldari. This morning when I was talking to a group of buddies from other corps all they were talking about was the logistics dropsuits were broken. I asked which one and not to my amusement it was Caldari.

Let me run some numbers real quick:
Level 5 drop-suit shield upgrades = 25% increase in shields before modules cool
Level 5 Shield Extensions = a 10% increase per module cool however this stacks with the Caldari Logistics bonus which is
Level 5 Caldari Logistics = 5 hp/s regeneration of armor plus 25% increase per shield extension module used.

So lets apply these bonuses for total shield assuming the player uses 4-5 high slots. Complex shield extenders = 66 hp shield add on times the now 35% increase equals 89.1 hp of shield being added on per module so times 4-5 is 356.4-445.5 shield without apply the drop-suit shields to it. If were applied then it will be those 2 numbers plus (1.25 * 180) = 581.4 to 670.5 shield overall. Now you can see why people run this Logistics suit as an assault suit.

And to add insult to injury they recover shields faster than anyone with the shield regens (on the 4 low slots) and can recover more shields than any other drop-suit in the game. This suit alone out best any other logistics suit just by being stock on its own.

Seeing all these numbers I propose that the Caldari Logistics bonus should be swapped with the Caldari Assault bonus. Seeing as of how the logistics only have one weapon they can benefit more from the reload speed bonus while the actual assault could use more shields. Also this will pluck out Logisult (players using the logistics suits as assault suits) users of the Caldari Logistics suit since they are not being a true logistics (Getting their hands dirty to save others whenever possible).

Leave your thought good or bad (troll if you have too. might as well call it out) if this is need or not.

One of my favorite squad mates uses flux grenades frequently. He gets kills consistently with them as well. Not every time for certain but anytime is running Assault he does. If someone is standing on or very, very close to the flux grenade when it goes off it Will Cause Damage. How much is not documented to my knowledge but when he used to run Heavies he got at least a kill every battle. I know because I ran Logi Bro for him quite often. Minmatar, not Caldari.

FYI:
Most of the Caldari Logi suit haters are being ganked by good players. You can get > 900 shield/armor from many combinations but they whine and Kitten on about it because someone else is playing the game as it was designed. Find your playing style and skill into it. Don't forget that it cost ~2M SP just for the Caldari Logi Pro lvl 5. And lvl 4 is worthless so add that as well. The players using those setups have enough SP that they are going to stomp many that have less SP. It is the nature of the beast.

The best things about Dust are that you are not limited to a particular role. You can run a Heavy (or a Commando!) with two SMGs and an AV grenade if that is what floats your boat. The other, for me, is the potential for the future that surfaced during the Beta Testing (which has been hammered back down in Uprising).
