the melee is just weak. in any other game it only takes one hit. but why in this game do i have do hit someone 3-4 times for them to die? |

If you want to one-hit someone, get some Nova Knives. Having one-hit melee would be stupid and defeat the purpose of this game being a tactical MMOFPS; this is not some run-and-gun POS. |

so you're saying every other game is run and gun? melee's are suppose to alot of damage. |

I didn't say that. And Melee is "supposed" to perform how the designers of the game intended it to so it can fit into the rest of the game. It's not "supposed" to do anything but that. If you smack someone wearing armor with a gun in real life, it's not going to kill them. Please stop posting bad and non-constructive ideas. |

Well, to be realistic, do you think beating a highly sheilded and armoured futuristic dropsuit with the butt of you AR should one hit somebody? Cause I don't. 
They also make modules to help you achieve this goal, if you are seriously interested... |

Since when did punching someone in the face do more dmg than shooting them in the balls? please explain this logic to me because when i think of melee i think back to counterstrike time where melee (knife) was the last ditch effort weapon if you ran out of primary ammo AND secondary ammo and couldnt risk the time reloading the gun.
Off topic: i would like melee to be friendly fire on. reasoning? to be able to kill afker's chilling at MCC OR home base. |

In a game where guns take long to kill someone, having the basic melee be a 1-hit-kill would be overpowered by comparison; if you want stronger melee I suggest you get some nova knives, or use the melee enhancing biotic modules. |

1 hit and nanoknives would be extinct also you can up your damage with modules also it depends on health and a regular punch isnt going to do much damage to a futuristic suit ok if it did one hit then guns would probably kill you with one hit see what I'm saying is that this isn't call of duty where you knife them in the foot and they die no this is dust where you shoot them in the foot with a charge sniper rifle or Thale's and they will die. |

I have One Hit Killed Scouts trying to Melee my Heavy. How? My Heavy can do 150HP damage with Melee and all they have total is slightly over that. A round with anything and OHKs are easy.
Dust requires research. Look at the various combinations. Caldari Logi Proto can run ~700HP a Shields alone. Amarr Heavy starts with 810HP total. Yet a Proto Nova Knife can drop them in two hits. Add the HP, check the bonuses and do the math. |

We are wearing suits that can tank hits from railguns and you wonder why a melee isnt an OHK? Really? Be a nova-knifer if you want it that bad. About the only thing you wont ohk then is a tanked out heavy. |
