I appreciate the attempt as much as the next guy, I've been nagging on these forums for a headshot sound since mid closed beta.
But this one is not working, its too loud and obnoxious.
Personally I miss and hope you bring the old one back. That sound vaccume was just awesome in every way while still being un-intrusive and original. Please bring it back. |

Option man to the rescue...
If this crap is client side just give us some sound files to choose from... and we can pick the head shot sound we like. |

Look kiddo, or alt, whatever.
It has been debated for a long time, a long time ago if we even wanted hadshot marker sunds in the game at all. The MAG/FPS crowd mostly wanted it, and many if the guys coming from eve did not want it cause its cheezy and probably a lot lke COD...
We first got the "Omph" thrumpety sound and it was ok, though a littly cheezy.
Later we got the "sound vaccume" which I personally love, its not intrusive to others that don't want it and it added something special and original to the soundtrack.
Now its just too much to handle for my fragile cute ears. Can we all agree that my ears are the most important thing here? |

Or maybe instead of a sound add in some extra points for a head shot. 50 WPGÇÖs for killing someone and say an extra 5 WPGÇÖs to show and reward for a headshot. Similar to how battlefield 3 currently does it. |

I'm confused. I actually like it. I don't know why some fine it "loud". It's not loud to me (maybe it's connected to the music volume, which I have at 50%). I's better than in uprising where for whatever reason, you go temporarily go deaf from headshotting someone else. Meh. |

I prefer the old "sound vacuum" effect. I imagine it a bit like hitting a clutch shot in front of a hostile crowd and then doing the "shhhhhh" motion.

1.1 wasnt noticeable as a achievement of a headshot,most of the time i thoguht my sound went out that instant. |

To me the headshot noise kind've sounds like somebody is banging on a big piece of metal with a crowbar.Not sure what the audio guys were trying to make it sound like. |
