Now you almost have no choice if it takes you a second to change suits. Some moron wants his 60 points and picks you up In front of the same firing squad that put you down.
Yes run with friends I get it.
However this has now added another button for me to scroll past to not be picked up.
Not sure what the fix is but this really is annoying. Give me another choice like triangle to immediately choose to bleed out so I can't be ressed in the middle of a suit change! |

this used to be the case in chronosome....not really an issue.
sure your kdr gets owned but that's one of the risks of playing with blue dots.
look at it this way, if people don't have targets to revive nobody will use nanite injectors, as has been the case for most of uprising. if you want to ever be picked up it's got to be this way imo. |

This is a problem. While I can see people not wanting spawn protection, I think the nanites you get jabbed with should count as a super regen for X seconds and at least keep your armor from going down.
At least for higher end needles anyway.
Being revived saves clones and saves you some money on a suit, but in reality you get killed rezzing people or they just die again anyway. As a Logi I do not have a nanite injector on any suit and even if they fixed it I probably wont use it much. |

At least in chromosome revive was broke and it wasn't a problem.
Now I get revived in seconds of being put down with no option to opt out. Leaving me in the hands of blue dots.
Yes I everyone says well then play with your corp mates or don't play. Not the kind of reasoning we need to be encouraging the playerbase.

This isn't something that happens a few times then never again because people are curious about it. This happens and is a problem in all shooter games where people can be revived. People do it because they want the free points and often times I see blue dots in many games screw over the person they revive, and themselves, putting themselves in a easy position to die and wasting your time. In the end it's "I'm playing for the team" camouflage for padding score at the risk of holding the team back.
There's a time and a place to revive and some people don't seem to understand that. Having an option to bleed out makes it so that you can keep these types of players from making that mistake. It's rare that I played with a logi (a real one, not just a logi assault) who revived often and did so at the right times instead of running into a hostile & active area, not shooting anyone around him, just to revive you so that you can both get gunned down a second later. Just wasting clones and time. |

Yes...how come we can't immediately bleed out? Sometimes, I'm looking at all 30 of my dropsuits trying to decide which combination I want to use and then I get rezzed. Sometimes, I am restocking because the suit ran out of something.

You're right and a bleedout option is a good idea, but compare his attitude against yours. Hell I even agree that you need to push too many buttons (unless you want to stay in the same suit),but man he just sounded like revives are a bad thing.

I'll never revive you and i'll emplore all logi's not to revive you either ... think of it this way .. how would new players learn when and how to revive if you take the option away from them ?? Once again vets thinking of new ways to put new players off PS If you select revive i cannot revive you through nanite injectors (i've had ppl die right next to me, ive killed the person who killed them 1 sec later go to revive and theyve clicked respawn already so i have to stand there and watch us lose a clone i could have revived had the player waited 5 secs) If you aren;t a Logi reviver then you have no right to decide when and if you get revived .. why would i bother being a logi if you decide what i should do ?? Let me and other logis focus on reviving and you focus on killing and not getting killed yourself !!!! How about Logi's get the ability to turn the weapons of allies around them off ??
Ppl make mistakes but you have to give them that opportunity .. if your really whinging about revives then dont play pub matches and do PC .. pub matches are there for new players to learn the game and their class and I dont just revive i repair straight away and do so with back up .. alot of games I play if the team is pinned down with 4+ of us then Me repping and reviving ppl who die around me is often what helps us turn a loss into a win but obviously you know better don't you ... You have to trust the medics and let them learn to become better ... do you think we like dying when we go to try and revive someone ??? Ofcourse not so why not try putting your trust in us and one day that medic that revived you by mistake may well be the same medic in the future that keeps you in a game you should have lost because right now for every mis revive that gets me and the person i revived killed (more often i revive the dead person, die myself and then they live lol) there are 10 ppl i could have revived safely that decided to respawn rather than waiting a few secs for me to revive them .. when your dead you cant see the battlefield or whats around .. we can so let us judge if its safe or not .. you;ve already got yourself killed once afterall |

CCP, it's time to put on the thinking cap and come up with a solution that gives enough control to the recently departed. It's my body and I'll die if I want to, die if I want to...
I know, you have a kill screen and so on to fit in these days... but wouldn't it make sense to give people the ability to either opt-in or opt-out depending on what the default action was.
Ouch, died... or alternately, died, ouch. Show kill screen Opt out Leave kill screen Pick new suit (optional) Pick spawn point Spawn in
Ouch, died... or alternately, died, ouch. Show kill screen No opt out -- waiting for revive If revived, resume play If bled out, leave kill screen, pick new suit (optional), pick spawn point, spawn in
Tweak if needed. |

Not a absolute solution but could help alleviate the "rez-WP fishing"
[SUGGESTION:] Give the WP bonus of base +60 only after the patient has lived ten seconds or more.
Ofc the real fix would be to get rid of the damn worthless kill mail screen and keep your PoV still in your eyes until you [hit the] bleedout. but that's been suggested many times before. |

They already do your suggestion, reviving someone who just got revived will not give you points. I'm not sure of the mechanics of exactly how it works, but it is there.
Temporary solution is to quickly pick a spawn and then cancel it. |

Y'know, if we don't mind options galore the auto-revive request could be an option -- as well as the kill screen displays... as long as they work well together no matter what combinations are chosen. |

Well here is my previous 2 isk cents on the topic. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=783026#post783026 Note the date was May 10th.
Quote:CCP Draco wrote: On the "automatically call for help" feature, there are many voices both for and against. Allowing you to go to the overview map directly gives you the opportunity to make a tactical decision if it's better to respawn in a new location or run from where you are.
I can think of two possible changes of the top of my head that might improve the system (apart from fixing actual bugs of missing icons, etc): 1. We always show the bleed out icon, but with some ammendment or color change if the player actually calls for help. 2. We allow you to configure automatic "call for help" when in bleedout.
What do you think?
ANSWER TO CCP DRACO'S QUESTION: 1) Always show a 'Bleeder Icon', but DO give it a different color when the bleeder calls for help!
This way logi has a way to know that the person is more likely not to suicide just before reaching him. It's the way to know that the person is interested in revive. Color change for 'ask for revive' is good - the person is actually signaling his friends. So why hide it?
IDEA: Somewhere up was good idea about accepting/not accepting revive. I further improve it: - When you receive a revive, give some three( as suggested?) seconds to choose whether to instantly (o) Suicide (x) Get Up Suicide because we are clone troops with suicide minibombs in our brain, so that's an option. - After 3s time, if no selection, Get Up. - if you get up, your reviver gets +60WP. - If you decide to suicide after all, your 'reviver' gets +30WP for Revive attempt
FEEDBACK: After being gunned down, we should be in first person view with some graphical effects of pulsing blurry red vision etc. We should NOT be able to rotate (much) on the ground so bleeders won't become intel feeding temporary scouts. We should not go to killcam (whatever) following our killer because of said intel giving things and immersion breaking. while in 1st person bleedout view, we should have options: (o) Suicide (x) Call for medic (square) View death info ("lossmail") (triangle) View overview map (not sure if that's a good idea. Issuing SQ orders while bleeding was kinda stupid. Maybe we don't need that) |

The quick fix will let you wait on the kill screen, the icon will show right away.
We will also look into what we can do with these other suggestions:
GÇóOffsetting the kill screen, and/or allowing it to be toggled on/off. GÇóAdding a remaining bleedout timer/indicator to the bleedout icon so they know if it's worth running over. GÇóSome kind of indication, color, flashing, or other, to indicate that you really want to be revivied. GÇóAllow "call for help" from the kill screen. GÇóKEROSIINI-TERO's list of other suggestions. GÇóImprove the location of the icon vs. the corpse.

NEW suggestion derived from Dracos list "GÇóAdding a remaining bleedout timer/indicator to the bleedout icon so they know if it's worth running over. "
[SUGGESTION:] The 'man bleeding' icon should have the circular "time left" timer running around it. The same you'll see in Dust when spawning or in Eve with new Crimewatch. |
