Frame rates in pub matches seem to have skyrocketed.. which has solved 90% of my aiming and hit detection issues. Let see how long it takes before I start losing frames.. or if mem leaks are mostly fixed.
New repair tool animation looks much better.
nanite injectors have worked 100% of the time so far... even just revived two guys who got ran over and ragdolled about 15-20m.
range fix so far... has been absolutely wonderful. Seriously makes this game so much more enjoyable.
very curious to see how a pc match is in terms of performance.
So new armor mods are a joke, and commando suit will probably need some buffs. but overall I'm quite happily with these quality of life changes. |

very good that the game mechanics are increased, that injector promblem has been a B, from what ive been hearing. sucks the content they added is worthless tho |

I do believe this was the intention of the patch, to boost the core gameplay, feroscale and commando imo was just to appease the people that would complain if no content came. |

I "think" my framerate has improved, it seems much easier to keep a bead on people at mid to long range. Will need to play some more.
The increased range on guns is $#%^ing excellent, its not outrageous but its not that stupid point blank rubbish anymore. I would say that extreme range is exactly right, you can pepper people to unnerve them or wear them down a bit without doing too much damage. Will need to experiment a little longer to see if optimal range is long enough, provisional yes.
The aiming is still dodgy but I'm going to keep experimenting with my settings before I chalk it up to imagined or real. Was having a few CQC battles were aiming was still "off" even though it seemed good at range. Perhaps it was good at range due to less framerate issues, hard to say.
The terrain seemed less sticky in the few matches I played but the jury is still out until I test it on a few of the well known crappy areas.
I haven't tried them yet but the new shield modules seem a bit OP and this is someone who is Caldari4lyfe.
Also might be my imagination but the equip wheel seems more solid and less erratic.
Tl;dr Many things yet to test (as a player) or fix (as CCP) but the weapon range change has improved combat by at least 50%. |

Well I look forward to trying out all the new goodies. Tell me are ranges extended or is it simply the absolute, effective, and optimals that affect gameplay? |

Well, there was no absolute before, bullets just disappeared at +1cm. The range at which you can hit someone is massively extended but at extreme ranges you will only be peppering them lightly. Its not a perfectly realistic ballistics model but its 100x better than before. Still experimenting to see how effective the optimal ranges are. |
