I don't really have much of a forum presence outside of Dust University's private forum, though I'm completely prepared to fight fire with fire if necessary. Which means, I'm looking at you, you cuddly forum troll, you.
While we do have a game mode called GÇ£Instant Battle AcademyGÇ¥ this particular game mode allows for players with a lower amount of skill points to play against those within a similar skill range without the risk of being proto-stomped. This game mode, however, doesn't exactly help those who're dedicated themselves to training newer players that are just starting or players who'd like to expand on certain skills within DUST 514.
Now, I completely understand that New Eden is suppose to be a cutthroat, backstabbing, make it or break it universe, and I wouldn't want what I'm about to propose to break that feeling.
I would like to personally see a game mode that allows a squad of six, or a full team of sixteen, to deploy on either an empty uncontested map that has no time limit involved, a testing range of sorts. OR on a map that has AI controlled hostiles that become more difficult over-time / each wave. The purpose of this game mode will allow instructors within training corporations an area to hold mock battles, test vehicle fittings, dropsuit fittings, or to hold classes in either a risk free or semi-risk free environment.
Though I suppose if a CPM / CCP Dev happens to pass through this thread, the question to ask would be... are there any plans for this sort of thing somewhere down the road map? It'd be a decent resource to use for certain training corporations.
Keep the discussion civil, please.
Thanks.

They already proposed this but simply haven't implemented yet probably because it's hard as hell to design. We will probably see all of this in the future although I don't think it will have it's own game mode simply simple AI to shoot. |

if they weren't so busy making new suits (the commando) maybe they would have worked something so vital as this out.... I may sound bitter but im not... I just don't understand why these smart CCP people are spending time on adding things and fixing things that aren't on the top of the community's list of additions and fixes... THIS is a much needed addition! it would make what Dust uni is trying to do for new players more organized and it would give all corps vital teaching and practice tools for there members. in EVE you can get any number of people together at any time for a training exercise or whatever else.... DUST is so limiting in this way (and understandably so for now) that a practice map a group of 16 could deploy on for training seems a no brainer. |

Pardon any spelling errors, happen to be on a tablet here at work. Dust needs new content, either in the form of dropsuits or in the form of new game modes, that shouldn't be disputed. Either way, I'm not on going to expect a release for a training game mode until probably later this year. |

It is already on the roadmap but it's not that high in the priority list from what I can tell. |

Kinda strange how something of such high priority to new players( the guys buying aurum so they can bypass skill restrictions) got put behind a different suit or gun.
New stuff is fun, but it isn't fun to get thrown to the wolves.
New Matchmaking-->This-->PvE--> Guns and Gear ( was about to say roses...) |
