In truth there's not much we can do about these AFKing parasites but the bright side is that we got 3x sp coming soon and it may just be the extra pulse the game needs to stay afloat till something really goes fubar. (likely sooner than soon) |

There's almost always at least 4-5 afking in any skirmish match that I join. It's a mistake that's not going to be fixed anytime soon, so roll with a squad or dgaf. |

I don't care one way or the other TBH.
I will even be playing in AFK mode, best mode DUST has at the moment.
I just know that this event will stir up all the AFKers and Anti-AFKers and these forums will be swamped with tears.
All along CCP will sit there and say how AAA this LOL FPS is.

If you don't AFK this event you are either a n00b, the type obsessed with trying to find morality in every little thing you do in life, or haven't sat down to do a tough think outside your usual capacity to realize it's the smartest move you can make at this point with the game.

You guys make this out like some HUGE issue. Most games I play, I see player participation. The majority of folks that are "afking" usually do so when the game is an obvious stomp in favor of the other team. Why lose the ISK if it is just a loss or if every time you spawn, you get gangraped? However, it is not as endemic as people on the forums like to make it out as. I don't AFK, even when losing, but I can understand that there is an ISK/AUR cost to everything in this game and some people want to play it safe with their money. In Public matches, that is okay. Remember, RANDOMS OWE US NOTHING, and we to them. By playing together, you can make friends, allies, contacts, but ultimately, you are responsible for you, and to a lesser extent, your squad and corporation. I am not saying theft/awoxing is fine, but if some random blueberry has suffered heavy losses in the match should he be forced over a table to take even more? I don't think so.

It is the act of sitting in the MCC and going away from keyboard / controller all the while gaining SP/ISK while doing something else in real life like say doing laundry, eating dinner, watching TV, getting my clothes ready for work tomorrow, these are all the things I did tonight while I AFKed in the MCC all the while averaging 140,000 ISK and around 3-4000 SP per AFK game.
MCC AFKing best game mode that DUST has.
Oh yeah and AFKing in the MCC while trolling these forums.
I forgot to add that.
Kinda sad that trolling these forums is more fun than playing the game. |

Was gonna say the same thing, I even went AFK in the mcc the other day to step away for a bit and there was not even a sniper in there.
But then I remembered I have only been playing Domination, they must be in skirmish. |
