There is no viable/survivable/sustainable mission for the dropship at the moment.
It's a tempting ISK sink that will only break your heart.
Use the milita version to get to high perches and place drop uplinks, then recall it.
That's the only use for them right now and for the foreseable future. |

my myron fit, clarity ward shield booster, MCRU, shield resistance (passive) azeoplatic sheild extender, jovin power plant, local power diagnostic with AT accelerated missiles. Does what it needs to do.
My phyton fit, clarity ward shield booster, passive shield resist, two azeoplatic shield extenders, jovian power plant, local power diagnostic system, three XT fragmented missile launchers. Fast effect survivable |

Being an extremely experienced pilot, i'll give you the EXACT fit i fly with right now with both my Eryx, and my Python (in my opinion these are the best fits you can get for shield tank dropships at this time)
Eryx:
Highslots- 3 Supplemental Shield Extenders and 1 Active fuel Injector (To make up for the slow rate of speed)
Medium slots- 2 PG expansion units to account for the low PG/CPU these dropships have (allows me to fit the 3 shield extenders with an overdrive injector
Lowslots- 2 'Arson' AT-1 Accelerated Missile Launchers (or its ISK equivalent)
Python:
Highslots- 1 Supplemental Shield Extender, 2 Milita shield resistance amplifiers, and 1 active fuel injector
Medium Slots- 2 Variable Vane Turbines (to make this ship remarkably fast)
Lowslots- 2 'Arson' AT-1 Accelerated and 1 XT-1 Accelerated in the front turret (to eliminate ground troops and ground turrets quick & easy as well as dominate in dropship battles) |
