Battles are played out on their own severs based on Region, certain infomation is then taken from the Tranquility server for things like orbitals... |

We still need connection to tranquillity so that we can connect to Eve players and eventually the economy. |

I think what the OP is asking is if Dust should be running on a separate server than the TQ server, and away from the *cough cough* EVE connectivity.
I say that it should be running on a separate server until they get the core mechanics of the game, frame rate issues, lag, proper weapon and vehicle balancing, and almost all of the other problems that plague this "game".
This is even more sensible considering that there's really no reason to be fighting for territory right now anyway, and the fact that the open market still doesn't exist. |

There is a test server. The current client doesn't have a way of switching to it but I think it's on their backlog to implement. |

no
cause one of its selling point is connectivity to EVE which is a PC based game

The problem here is that the singularity test server in which DUST use to be tested on during closed beta is not completely optimized and is inherently less stable than the tranquillity live server. On top of that, the economy in singularity is not a functional economy since everything you buy there is 100 ISK and ISK means nothing in singularity. Tranquillity is the only server to get all of the proper metrics in order. |

But really there is no meaningful EVE connectivity... we can call OBs without EVE pilots. The only connectivity is we make it easier/harder to flip a FW system but theres no reciprocity for us. |

The game doesn't actually run on TQ and it never will so I'm not sure what the discussion is actually about. Are we talking about separating the two games or what? And I don't think there's a plan to put DUST back on the test server at any point in the future. |

OP, I don't even know what you are talking about, Dust has its own servers, the IPs are as follows: Europe: 5.10.86.104; US: 50.97.153.36; Asia: 216.185.108.171; Australia: 27.50.71.26. If you are saying it should be cut-off from EVE's universe, it already is, they are simply sharing some chat channels and not much more. You can always ignore the chat if you don't like spaceship pilots speaking to you from the skies. |

I wasn't suggesting that Dust should go back to Singularity. There's should have been a completely new server besides the two that are already established. |

That would be awesome but hugely expensive with no real value for CCP. Personally don't see it happening. |

If a separate server will increase stability, I'd say yes to that. Unless, Dusters actually make a difference that ALL dusters can notice. I hear the EVE players may get some benefit from dusters if not small but we Dust players have no reason to have an EVE connection, at least not one I notice.

It won't, we will eventually, not yet really, we will eventually. |
