Hands up anyone who uses sidearms as their only weapon?
Me = scrambler pistol and SMG. None of this flaylock malarky here! |

I use submachine guns on all my fits except for my dedicated flaylock fit.
I find it a better more reliable weapon most of the time. |

Before I turned Logi, SMGs were all I used. I still like them better than the flaylock.... Makes it much harder for the reds to bunny hop successfully |

I have three fits that aren't 100% fitted with Sidearms (they're also the only fits I have that aren't built on Logi suits, specialized for AV and Countersniping).
If I am to be 100% honest too, I have you to thank for my love affair with Sidearms. I was a reddot for you in a match early in Chromosome. Every single time we faced off you put me down like I was Ol' Yeller with an Assault Scrambler Pistol.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
It was that night I started running Sidearms primary. It took some acclimation time, though it was well worth it. I'd rather run around with my trusty Scrambler Pistol (or my Assault SMG) than any other weapon in the game.
IMHO, sidearms are the weapon class which is the most fun in the entire game. Versatile and significantly more effective than most people realize. |

I recently swutched back to a pure Caldari fit in preparation for my Gauss Rifle which isn't coming out anytime soon, effing thanks for that CCP, and Im stuk with the current piece of crap Assault Rifle....
Funny thing is I get more kills out of a Militia SMG than I do my lame ass primary weapon. |

Anyone who runs AV will get good with scramblers really quickly, and will probably prefer them to flaylocks as their only anti-infantry defense. |

Ha, great to hear that I'm making positive changes to the way some people play this game :) Yeah, I started my sidearm specialising way back in Chromosome, maybe earlier but I don' think as early as Codex. It completely changed my game. |

SMG & Nova Knives are my only two weapons 
They work together quite well so far. Just had a match where I flanked the enemy who were hunkered down shooting my team and managed to stab 4 of them while their backs were turned then shot a 5th with my SMG to death before being gunned down by the last guy standing. Bwhahahahahahaha! Quite amusing! |

sad truth is miltia gear CANNOT stand up to proto gear and fits of players with 15 million sp, end of the day doesn't matter what weapon you use you will clean house with them.
Would explain why you came into my thread trying to throw AR under bus in defense for Flaylock lol.
He was not quoting me btw in case some Core guy wants to come in accusing me of trying to have the Flaylock removed. |

Props to you guys w/ the sidearm skills. I have less than stellar luck with the sidearms but I do try... to the benefit of my opponents, I so try.... scrambler for the (occasional) win.

heh, I have a flay lock fit because I thought it would make a good side arm for my sniper fit as that's what I put 15 million sp into.
turns out I was very wrong and wasted a million sp, so rather then ***** and moan about it I made a fit to do something with it. I usually take it out if i'm with a decent squad and we'll be fighting in close quarters, and it's a nice change of pace from sniping all the time I guess. |

I had a joke heavy build with 2 scrambler pistols and complex sidearm damage mods.
I would play solo in Ambush, and usually did surprisingly well....which kind of upset me... |

Yeah the TT3 is lovely to use.
However, when CPU/PG is lacking (i.e. on a scout) the KLO is also very nice. |

Oh, someone else who thought the burst was pretty good. Props.
The TT-3 and TY-5 are both nice weapons. My gun game ain't at the point where I'm tapping anywhere near enough of their potential yet though. A gunslinger build with two complex dams on the TY-5 will be murder in CQC once headshot accuracy is worked up to a consistent level.
I mainly envy the Scrambler Rifle for it's ample ammo reserves. |
