This will probably end up in requests but oh well, this thread will be for things that would be cool to see in the game (that are not stupidly ridiculous)
Please leave your idea and a detailed description of how it works and why it should be in the game, i'll start.
Third person camera option - exactly as stated, you have the choice to change between first and third person camera, this could cause some interesting plays and would give people a bit more incentive think about their surroundings before QQing that they lost an expensive suit.
Grenade trajectory path - while holding or cooking grenades it would should you the path it would follow and the area the explosion would cover with a light transparent circle at the end of the path, it would also have a changeable path that you would see the path it were to follow if you tried to throw it at a wall and bounce it off.
Cover system - gives you the option to hide behind cover either crouched or standing, making your hit box a bit smaller, this would encourage more tactical play and couple with third person camera and commando suits which itself will require more tactical play.
Jump jets - essentially boosters on the bottom of your shoes limited jet packs, an active low module while active you can jump 2/3/4 meters over 5/7/9 seconds with like a 30 second CD, only available for light and maybe medium suits.

no third person mode please. people need to remember they have a radar and should use it.

And some changes to the radar, each ring should have a number on it so we can tell if they are within 50/25/10 metres also replace the N with a red arrow, it stands out more and is easier to see on non HD tvs |

A few points here.
1. If they implemented your first idea this would no longer be an FPS, rather some weird cross breed.
2. Your grenade idea, that would be called " EZ mode".
3. It's called a Light frame or Scout....
Besides the fact that I personally don't think those are good ideas I must point out that the changes you propose are not exactly easily implemented. Surely you understand that those features would dramatically change core game balance which isn't exactly in a good state as of now. Beyond that this game is currently starved for content already shown by CCP, I'd prefer not to pack any more dreams into the pipe...

This game really isn't an FPS anyway and we all know it, grenades are currently "EZ mode" anyway, at least let me say the path my grenade will travel and if or not the grenade will hit some invisible wall which they usually do. As you seem to see the game as some run and gun CoD clone i guess you wouldn't really value a cover system. This game needs core changes and thats another thing we all know, but something i didnt add was that you could have different game modes like hardcore and normal in which hardcore is practically the same as is now and then a regular game would have the things i mentioned implemented.
But other than that if you have come to spread some hate, please **** off. These are just cool ideas |

I didn't even touch the cover system idea...While it could be interesting it would detract from player skill IMO (if you can't manage to stand behind a box the game shouldn't hold your hand) Also I'd rather control my "peeking" manually.
Regardless of whether or not I like your ideas you must realize you are asking for literally months of development time for EACH of those ideas.
May I ask, what exactly makes you think I prefer "some run and gun CoD clone" ? I mean I obviously play Heavy but yeah run n gun, no cover for me.....right....
If anything I could accuse you of wanting to turn this into a Run from box to box Mass Effect clone but that wouldn't get us anywhere now would it? |

being this game is on the unreal engine its already coded into it . this game is a cousin to unreal tournament and gears of war |

Clearly it would get us further than where we are at now, yes you stated my 3rd point which was about a cover system, i never asked for any of this to be implement these are only IDEAS, every tactically advantageous idea i put up you seam to turn down, why wouldn't i get the idea you prefer run n gun games. If this game turned into a multi player ME then... AWESOME that game sure did a hell of a lot better |

I haven't played the game.... yet, but i have seen Frankies playthrough. These ideas actually came to me from the Ghost recon series more specifically the new online one and future soldier |

Kind of revving a dead thread but.......
In this game we shoot people from a first person perspective. Therefore it is a first person shooter.
Please tell me what else it could be? |
