The Caldari State's answer to the Minmatar Flaylock Pistol. A weapon that fires three tiny(weaker) missiles either at once in a triangle spread or one at a time in a burst shot (Depending on the variant). The missiles have no splash damage, they are designed to lodge themselves in the shield or armor of a dropsuit (non damaging); Then after a one second delay, they damage the shield/armor with a focused, forward firing kinetic explosion. A single Stinger missile inflicts a little over a third of the damage from a direct Flaylock missile impact.
The Pistol itself has three barrels arranged in a tri formation. Loading the Stinger is similar to a flare gun, the tri barrel automatically tilts itself at a 30 degree angle. Thus expelling the exhausted missile cast, which I imagine to look similar to the DNA holding device from Jurassic Park.( The left side part). After loading new missiles, it closes, ready to fire again.
- Advantages -
The damage from all three missiles on one target would be incredibly lethal.
Can be used to kill/maim a single target or damage up to three at one time.
Would make a good hit and run weapon.
Missiles still active even after death, you may end up killing a tagged target a second after he kills you.
- Disadvantages -
Has a spread slightly tighter than a shotgun, but that still makes it unfit for mid to long range combat.
Having to reload after every shot makes you vulnerable.
You have to get in close to have a chance at tagging one enemy with all three missiles.
Unlike the Flaylock, it's no good against light vehicles. It's a merc killing weapon only.

So what makes this weapon Caldari?
If I remember correctly, CCP already has a Caldari pistol in the works that's akin to a magnum. |

The Bolt Pistol. "Designed to blow through anything" or something like that was the description they gave it. |

Well, I was thinking since the Minmatar have two sidearms (Flaylock & SMG), the others would too. I was already aware of the Bolt Pistol. What makes the Stinger a Caldari weapon are the missiles. Both The Caldari and the Minmatar favor missiles, but the Caldari are more specialized in missile combat. Their ships like the Kestrel, Drake, Raven, and Leviathan are all examples. And I'm sure you're familiar with the Swarm Launcher.
Now, I know the Nova Knives are Caldari and they're a sidearm. But I don't think they'll be the only melee weapons to be released. The other races are sure to have blades of their own to share. |

Each race will get a Knife, Pistol and SMG and this Soon TM |
