Play the game. Your access will be expanded this way. We have lot of spam and trolls who don't play the game at all and use this forum for they personal pleasure  They even dare to qq and whine all other the place in tens of threads created in 10 minutes. Some of us (me included) asked CCP to regulate write access to the forum... And tying it with playing the game.
The game is free so is the forum access. You can create tons of PSN accounts for free with 3 characters on each, never play DUST and write to the forum whatever pleases you. People even whine because of typos in CCP website...
It couldn't last for too long. Blame people's immaturity, not CCP.

I believe being upset with CCP for limiting the ability to communicate for all new players based on the actions of a handful of spammers is people blaming the immature party in this situation
Not only that but it gives a terrible impression to any legitimate new players that want to come on the forums to ask questions, make suggestions, or seek out a corporation |

Great idea new guys joins the game needs to ask some questions because the tutorials are all pants or missing and they get restricted posts. Dont get me wrong I am so glad that PS2 guy has been given the boot but restricting how much new players can post in a game with little to no explanation outside of the forums may make new people despair. |

I was unaware of this new measure, seems a bit drastic to me, primarily for the above reason. This game is ass backwards to most people, and "their choices matter", so they have no way of knowing how to spend SP or where or on what and if they wanted to come get some help, they're not allowed to engage in the discussion?

I didn't know about this new measure until I came across this post, and it does seem like it would be detrimental to those wanting to ask questions about the game. The forums have really proven their (lack of) maturity, however, and steps were taken. It might be a pretty brute force measure, but I can't really come up with another way to keep alt-spamming trolls off of the forums.
There are people in game that are more than happy to help new players though. They can ask as many questions in chat as they want, and there's already tons of information in the rookie training grounds with answers and advice. |

This shouldn't be an issue for someone trying to learn about the game. It may also get people to use the search function to find the answer to their question instead of asking the same thing yet again. |

Sounds like a smart move to me once you get past the point to post frealy you should have learned enough about the game to post constructively or troll like the rest of us. Also you only need 1 post to ask a question and a second to clean up confusion so I think count is spot on :-P |

i've watched constant spam attacks, this seems reasonable, if you guys have a better suggestion for preventing players from creating infinite spam accounts, please suggest it and we can go about getting it implemented.
as it stands, these spam accounts were ******* annoying, these attacks nothing more then brain dead idiots trying to get a rise and abusing what they thought couldn't be stopped.
so here we are, ccp did what needed to be done to stop it. |
