I really like that I can make suit and vehicle fittings with modules that I don't have the skills to use yet. It lets me plan ahead for the SP that I want to buy and allows me to test in advance if I have have enough CPU/PG etc for the intended fit, along with seeing the HP and regen levels I'd end up with.
So please can you allow use to make fittings with suits and I don't have the skills for? It would be an invalid fit for the purposed of battles, just like current invalid fits, but I'd be able to test ahead of time whether particular suits allow me to do the things I'd like them to.
Instead, I'm currently relegated to looking at the info screens and trying to compare slot/PC/CPU info from memory, a few stats at a time. This makes me a sad panda.

This would be super difficult as many skills affect how much Grid/CPU you have. I could see possibly just adding the ability to just fit a suit you don't have skills for, but you won't get a good idea for planning ahead because your actual's suits stats will change. And they will change quite a bit the higher you go, as 5% is alot different when dealing with 100 Grid vs 300 Grid. |

You can.
I have several 'invalid fittings' where I test what kind of PG/CPU ill need for a particular fit i'm working towards.
i've built plenty of invalid sniper and speed shotgun fits.. with no skills in either weapon, or kin cats. I can't use them but I can theorycraft with them. |

I can't make a fitting with a SUIT that I don't have skills for - it's won't let me. E.G. Proto Minmatar Logi suit.
If you are able to do this, please let me know the method that you are using. |

Just noticed that... Yeah bummer. You can use invalid modules but not invalid suits. |
