Id brought this idea to the table in the past but I figured Id bring it back up as its now a more prominent issue than before.
Essentially what it boils down to is that, considering the LAVs newfound strength thriugh the HP boost, they now act as a get out of jail free card. Heavies have always used them to circumvent the negation in mobility that comes with their role but now that LAVs are so much more defensive its even more difficult to keep them down.
Theres simply nothing more infuriating than a player who cant run you down and just exits - instantly I might add - the LAV to fire with an HMG. This is because in the event that hes going to lose, he can just re-enter and drive off to switch suits at a supply depot.
We really need enter/exit animations to prevent the abuse of this. Whenever you provide an option to circumvent a powerful class weakness it mightas well have not had the weakness to begin with. LAVs, defensible as they are, only compound this issue - but thats for a different topic.
There is no reason I should have to fit both AV and AI gear to deal with a single problem. Suffice to say, if there were more forethought behind the action, it might prevent it from being abused so often. |

Hmmm. I don't yet dare support this outright immediately because I need to evaluate weather I just want it because I hate heavies that get out of labs and there's no way to lay down the dps when ambushed like that in open territory crossing to objectives. I'll report back. |

Yes. Even if the animation has them immediately glued to the vehicle model. |
