Snipers would feel unhappy and quit the game, and make Dust's player count drop even lower. Would also hurt the playstyle variety of Dust. |

Are you making the assumption that all snipers spend the whole match camped behind the redline or up in the MCC? If not, what the heck are you on about?
Speaking of game killers... we had a guy in a match yesterday sitting near the MCC drop point, shooting at blues as we come down and try to take D on our side of the map (close to the drop point). I don't know if it was just snipers... as we'd pause to look for reds at D on the way out... but this type of crap should cause a lot more unhappiness than the fact that a sniper might kill you during a match.
That said, I hate getting sniped when I'm working hard to help win back an objective... but that just means I (or some lame retread snipers who don't seem to have eyeballs) did a bad job of clearing the area, counter sniping, before the attempt. |

If someone wants to snipe then it is their business. Unless you are in a PC battle, who are you tell them how to play. While I think most snipers are useless and nothing more than stat padders, some are not and not all snipers should be judged by the actions of morons. Judge the individual.
Side note, there will always be players in pub matches, no matter what the game is, that do not try to win. Get over it and just do the best you can. Drink a beer, have fun, say your prayers and eat your vitamins. |

It's a combination of things.
The maps are appallingly bad.
New players and scrubs can only get kills sniping.
The game modes and design are a joke and encourage it.
There is a lot of stuff killing this game, sniping is just one thing in a very, very, long list. |
