A game mode composed of 3 stages. Winning 2 out of 3 means victory. If a team won the first 2 stages, then the 3rd stage should be skipped.
Capture Defense relay: Neutral (no attacker/defender). Gives winning team control of the installations. This is akin to Domination.
Oupost Control: Attack/defend. Defense relay winners become the defenders, and their clone reserves increase by 100 because of the clone stored in the outpost. Attackers must breach the outpost and must plant charges to destroy the clone storage (and decrease defender clones by 100).
Ambush: Neutral. We all know how Ambush works.

I want it.
Any new game types are welcome in my book. I don't care if they are perfect. I am ready and willing to suffer the pain for new content. I think we should try this and any other game type just to see if they are fun. |

I though that was the full point of Dust 514 ( This ^ type of game modes ). Why it haven't been implemented yet, beats me. What the hell you waiting for CCP !!! |

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are worried about the 100 extra clones being a balance problem in the Ambush stage, remember that winning 2 out of 3 stages automatically ends the battle. If defenders win Outpost Control, then it means they won 2 out of 3 stages (thus ending the battle and skipping Ambush stage); to be defender means you won Defense Relay (1 victory), and to winning Outpost Control as defender (2nd victory) means battle ends. This means there will never be a scenario where the defenders of stage 2 could use the clone advantage they received from stage 2 to win stage 3.

I don't see the point of having ambush at the end of it. Up to demo makes sense, but the ambush makes no sense. Now having Skirmish 1.0 combined with ambush might be fun.....

Peace, Godin Wiping the enemy's clones from the district allows you to take control of the facilities. If you're defender and you win stage 2, then Ambush is skipped because you already won 2/3. Stage 2 was just as much about destroying clones as Ambush, the only difference is the method. |

Why isn't Ambush first? Or why isn't it Conquest instead of Ambush? Is this for PC or for just Pubbing, may be to long for pubs.
I think this idea has merits, my only worries was the length for pubs. I've seen some better ideas for PC, no offense. |

I think this idea has merits, my only worries was the length for pubs. I've seen some better ideas for PC, no offense. Public battle, no one said it was for PC. Skirmish 1.0 will return for PC. What's wrong with having a long 30 minute public battle? MAG had such long modes, so does Killzone 2 and 3. Keep in mind that stage 3 is skipped if one team already won 2 stages. If Ambush was first, that would mean it would be possible for the game to end with only 1 attack/defend battle since Ambush and Defense Relay are both neutral modes. I wanted to make sure in all scenarios that there would be at least 1 attack/defend mode played. Also Ambush is the logical continuation of Outpost control; in Outpost Control both teams try to take out the other's clones, the attackers do it by blowing up clone storage sites, and the defenders do it by just killing the attackers. Once the clone storage sites are destroyed, it only makes sense that it would just be Ambush. |

This is a really cool idea! It would e really awesome if the match flowed through the 3 stages without any type of stoppage. This kind of mode would involve tactics and just be fun in general. Great idea! |

Yea, I like this idea. I got 2 little kids so I might not be able to run a 30-45 min hardcore battle all the time if I wanted to play. But I would like to do this every once in awhile, the 15 minute battles are good for me most the time because if there is something I need to do I don't have to wait long to do it (Like change a diaper ewww) |

Good idea, I like longer battles and we could use some more game modes. Still waiting for the originally intended minimum team size (24). Would love to see game modes similar to MAG's Domination where there are multiple different objectives within a single game mode, but we need bigger maps and teams. |
