Come July 2nd we will see the game improve from its current state. Some things will be great improvements, some things will be small improvements and some things will be counter-productive. Overall, I have no doubt the game will improve come July 2nd.

I also do not believe a game will rise or fall based on a single patch.

I hope ccp comes threw with the next update. because idc what anyone says if they bomb this one its probably over. they already lost over 2000 people easy I barely see more then 5000 anymore it use to be over 8000. soo good luck ccp I hope that you stick to your word this time ill be here till the end but sadly it seems to be getting closer and closer like an infants dying its to early. please listen to your player base not the ones who cry on general discussion the ones who actually go to tech support threads and constructively give you game play info.

You do realize that this 5000+ player game all started at a population base of around 50 daily....... right? Even if most the players now die off and stop playing, theres nothing stopping CCP from continual development. The reason for this is A.) continual EVE Online financial support. and B.) with that support they could ramp up marketing at any time.

The biggest reason today we have issues is because a majority of the player count...... are vets. People who have played for a long time, and generally ruin the game for others because this experience is just a crippling advantage.

With increased marketing, the player base would swell, and the "vet" pool would get diluted. Even if we could get the player count up to 20,000 I feel that would be enough to get the game feeling fun again.

However, the game right now is incomplete, it DOES NOT have the retention value it needs to keep a sizable number of players playing. Currently were missing PVE, a player run economy, NPC driven missions, industry sectors, and a more meaningful evexdust connection. All of that coupled with the fact that the core gaming experience is, in many cases, awful creates an environment were people just don't want to play because everything is either A.) stressful, or B.) stressful.

So in conclusion, I don't think this game is going to die. I do think ill have several months worth of experience saved up over those who don't play this game yet (when they do decide to play). But as for now, I like to look at us as..... glorified beta testers. Were playing a game that for all intensive purposes is still a beta. (just labeled differently). So yeah! theres that!

This game as potential and is awesome/fun to play (unless I get proto stomped by the whole enemy team) and it will live to be the ripe old age 400 and something. Because, you know, I said so.

Any serious fps player jumped ship long ago, all that's left are people who suck at other fps games, evetards and trolls.

Cod is not serious and this is better then battlefield atm and any other top name shooter

edit/also +1 for doomsday/reborn threads... especially when it will be the same when DUST X.Y is released.

I honestly cannot wait until I see my first "MINMATAR HEAVY IS RUINING THE GAME" thread.

I think the suit is on the roadmap for the DUST X.Y patch, actually.

Just because you are bad at other games does not mean you can claim that dust is better. you might be bettr at dust, but that's because you are being carried by overpowered weapons and shield extenders. As an fps, dust is absolutely horrendous. DO NOT downgrade battlefield to dust's level.

Cod bf3 nothing compares to counter strike enough said make excuses if your good at a fps your good at all of them
