So here's my story I was thinking today hmmm I wanna see how stacking penalties work so I was checking it with resistance plating and looking at the armour resistance when I put it at 27% with the best modules I wanted to see if the second best would have a effect by the stacking penalty or be free of it due to it being a different module but for some reason the 11% resistance turned into a -2% while if I put the 15% resistance in its place it would go to 28%. It doesn't make since how resistance would go down on a empty slot loadout does it so I believe there is something wrong with Stacking Penalties atleast it should have done a decimal boost not something that negates on the resistance, so I request that stacking penalties be relooked and fixed. |

There probably isn't something wrong. The math eludes most people though.
Please post the exact modules and fittings for your suit, and I will respond with what the calculations should be.

No, No math was wrong because a open loadout and putting a resistance mod on there shouldn't bring down resistance there is no possible way that is possible more doesnt equal less unless thats dmg |

Please post a detailed fitting so others can verify your claim. In the meantime, here is a stacking penalty calculator. Here is a description of how stacking penalties work (it's about Eve but the math is the same for Dust). |

I think that game see a base resistance(with we get from armor/shield skills +2%), as a first fitted module, and on that basis cut penalty from the next one(with is first one).
Example: Militia Energized Membrane should give 10% resistance, but it gives only 9% if you have Armor Upgrades skill on lvl5. (First fitted module have stacking penalty of second one, second on have stackin.. etc.). |

I would but I need to get on my Playstation which I will have to wait a bit but till now understand that a resistance bonus should always be positive even if it is a decimal not go negative because a free module slot that has no module not no module shouldn't make your resistance go from a high to low. |

The response is still to give us (and CCP) the exact suits and modules you used - and the resist values that you got - so that we can either explain the result or supply evidence of a bug.
So far you have provided no actual evidence, which means even if you are right it cannot be fixed. |
