As my brother was learning to fly Dropships today, I noticed in the distance some kind of lake far into the redline before he was shot down. I am unsure of the map name and I may have possibly imagined it, but will there be any water-based maps in the future of Dust? |

I would fly Dropships if I had a use for them. Sadly, I play an HMG Heavy. On the other hand, my brother is a sniper and he is looking for ways to transport himself to high platforms, thus dropships.
Anyway, back to the lake thing: has CCP mentioned anything about water in future battle environments. It seems odd that there would be a lake out in the middle of nowhere. |

I believe I've seen something of the like in a few maps.
What you're seeing isn't a lake or river- it currently has no water, but seems to be a dry lake or river.
Sometimes, it seems like there's a dry river around E11 in spine crescent (http://web.ccpgamescdn.com/newssystem/media/64656/1/SpineCrescent_skirmish.jpg)
Or a dry lake to the southwest or northeast of manus peak |

There are Ocean planets in EVE. We will probably have water based maps, floating cities or under sea stations, eventually, but probably not for a few years. Hopefully we get rivers and lakes on temperate planets sooner. |

What you see was the dropship paradise. It's a sacred place where dropship can fly safe all day. You probably saw a mirage though. |
