The increase of Assault-Logis been out of control since this new build came up. Whole squads of Proto Logis with AR's have been overpowering most matches. And the DUST51 player base is concerned.
I came out with a solution that will for sure balance this issue.
Remove from Logis the ability to Equip Damage Modifiers.
This way the dropsuits get balanced:
-Assault have more Speed , stamina and Firepower -Logis would have more CPU/PG,Tanking ability and Equipment slots
This way i guarantee most players that use Logis as assault will go back to the assault Dropsuits and True logis will stay. The real problem here that Logis have the CPU/PG to ABUSE the Damage modifiers.
Example:(i'll use the caldari since its the best Logi suit IMO) a Caldari Logi can pack 3 Complex damage mods and a Duvolle AR with proficiency Lv5 and ravage everything, and STILL be able to equip two 99 Shield extenders. (AT complex level Shields extenders have +25% efficiency, same as caldari racial bonus, total of +50% shield extender efficiency). With a Passive Shield skills at level 4 he is running around with 414 Shields and this is only using the High powered modules. He still has 4 Low modules to equip , armor plates ,profile dampener,kinetic, catalizers, armor regen Mods etc... And the worst part is,he DOES have the CPU and PG to do so.... And he still has 3 equipment slots to create loadouts to adapt to any situation. All this at the cost of what.. a SIDEARM?
This way Logis can still equip whatever they want, same equipment slots, same cpu / pg output , but with a restriction to only Weapon Proficiency to increase their damage output.
LOL, Remove Complex Damage Mods from Logis and watch the game return to a Balanced state where Logis are Logis and Assaults are assaults... |

I agree the Caldari Logi needs a fix for its massive shield hoard but you don't touch a logi's only weapons damage!
You want to reduce/ limit my ability to cause damage with my one weapon that holds 60 rounds because you cant kill me with your two weapons/sniper/shotgun/flaylock/MD/etc? No logic there.
Doing this would cause more harm than good.
I Run mimitar so I don't get a fancy sidearm I would rather actually perform my role appropriately so I opted for the mimitars 4 eqpt slots.
Any true logi will come and tell you the same thing. Im in for the win not the KDR, However I shouldn't be put in a handicap with a one on one battle just because. If I loose that one on one battle it should be my fault not because my GEK does less damage than yours when i'm blasting you in the chest giving you an immediate upper hand?
Anyway just my .02.
If this nerf happens to logis:
Logis will either leave the game, adapt a new role, want a respec. The game will go on. Personally I see why now people murder taxi. Everything they love about this game gets nerfed to the point of uselessness.
1st off, why do you want to use Damage Mods if you are a ''TRUE LOGI'' , You can kill good enough with any weapon and Proficiency on it... UNLESS you are planning on going on Assault purposes...hmm...
Well logi bro . What would YOU do to balance logi dropsuits?. What would YOU do to stop Logi-Assault spam? Enlighten me
Because it not only the CALDARI LOGIS Abusing Shield extenders and complex dam mods to create improved assault suits, but Minmatar Logi shot gunners as well,among other ''Logis'' just using the massive CPU/PG output to create overpowered Assault loadouts.... The only 2 Suits that seem reasonable are the Amarr and the Gallante. Amarr one has a sidearm lot but besides that and more CPU-PG is pretty much the same as the Advanced one, plus it the slowst one. And gallante depends on Armor that sucks and their racial bonus is Logi only.
So , Logibro, enlighten me . Im open to a change of mind, i'll even delete this post if you give me a GOOD way to avoid this. |

DONT GET ME WRONG, right now im at Caldari Logi level 4, so this would actually hurt ME too. Im planning on going proto caldari in a week or two.
Why? I can do the same but BETTER than my Proto scout ever did, at the cost of a miserable sidearm.

people need to stop asking for nerfs and ask for ways to buff their own suits so they can counter them. because guess what the logi bros are happy, the assault guys are happy because they run the logi suit as a assault so instead of taking away survivability from the logi bros give something to the assault suit to make the assault players want to use it.
1st off, im not taking AT ALL away survivability from Logis, just making a difference between Assault Damage output and Logi damage output.(NOT even a big one either, you can still use a Duvolle AR with Proficiency lv 4-5 and do great with it, hell i do good with a Toxin assault rifle and a 5% Damage mod, so please...) 2nd- there is NO REASON AT ALL a True logi would prefer HP or Speed of Profile Dampening over equipping 2-3 Complex damage mods ANYWAYS,unless they are trying to accomplish an assault role. 3rd- I suggest this ''NERF'' idea since i have no ideas in order to Buff Assaults without making them OP. 4rth-OF COURSE LOGI BROS ARE HAPPY. Who wouldnt Running duvolles AR's and 3 Complex damage mods or Shotgunners running round with 500+HP and almost same speed as a minmatar Scout LOL.... |

Well not everybody uses their suits the same way, but the way im talking about is abusing CPU-PG TO stack COMPLEX Damage mods, 2-3 of them, you know, a single 10 bullet burs of a duvolle will pretty much evaporate anything....
5 Shield extenders? you are missing of a hell of a lot of firepower there broski.... |

It's a stupid idea, and completely ****s over logis in the damage dealing department.
Logis have guns too, why should they magically be less useful than Assaults. Logi's already don't have a sidearm slot.
Assault players need to get over this idea that Assaults should be the only suit that can kill things.
Oh im sorry i didnt know you cant kill without 2-3 Complex Damage mods and a proto AR??
My bad then.
Instead of getting good just let logis Stack Complex damage mods or easy kills

I think this round of nerf wars can come to a close about now.
I think without the damage mods they would be fine TBQH. No need for an INCREASE Damage reduction if they already have a cap. And they do need the speed to keep up with the troops, you know....to HELP... ? XD |

But thats all it would take to balance both suits again.( Of course Scouts and heavies would still suck , but thats another issue...)
