Merc armor & shields are quite strong and resistant. A Merc shouldn't just die because of being crashed by an LAV.
The only possible fix to being run over by an LAV is to implement "crawling" animations to dust imo. When a merc is runned over by an LAV merc should "crawl" automatically. Due to mechanical stress he may receive a bit of shield and armor damage. The natural making architecture of his shields, he should be pushed out from the underneath of the LAV. And the merc should rise afterwards immediately (facing the driver) to give him a chance to fight back.
Crawling doesn't need to be added as another option to crouching. A crawling animations is enough for just this special case of being runned over or crashed by an LAV/HAV/Dropship.
And this will hopefully be the end of the Carmageddon. |

Merc Shields and Armor are resilient but Vehicle Shields and Armor isn't? I agree that Murder Taxis have to go, but I don't think that this is the way to fix it. Having the LAV take damage when running people over is the way I would do it |

when my little brother was 5 he was hit by a drunk Scottish woman traveling 45mph(ish), he did spend 18 months in hospital, but is still alive and fully(ish) functional. |

With current HP levels of virtually all LAVs the suit damage wouldn't fix the issue - unless hitting a dude would be more damaging than 2-3 AV grenades which is ridiculous.
OP really has a point. I suggested something like that before, not crawling but:
"We might remember the so called 'suppression effects' and a knockdown of player (the first ever official dust trailer http://youtu.be/jzVjggarRns?t=54s). Probably CCP decided it will never be implemented on any weapons effect list. But,
[SUGGESTION]: Implement a knockdown effect on vehicle contacting infantry in lower than fatal speeds.
The knockdown would happen rarely enough not to get OP or too annoying, but still put the person hit by the vehicle at a temporary disadvantage!"
TLDR; Cure: - Small damage to LAV hitting a suit - High speed impacts still kill - Low speed impacts wound and suppress |

How about hitting someone will cause LAV to go out of control a bit, direct impact in a solid object from an LAV would cause driver to be projected out of the car, due to not wearing a seatbelt. |

Free Disposable LAVs should have HPs reduced by 50%, and their Signature Profiles boosted to 150 points (i.e. you should always see a free LAV coming from 100km away on the mini map in any suit all of the time). If someone wants to invest SPs and ISK into LAVs then those should have much more reasonable stats. Also the guy being run over should recieve damage proportional to the speed of the vehicle, so if someone nudges me a 5 kph I should only take 1 hp of damage, but if they clock me at 40, then I'm OHKd and looking for a rez.
Also, logi LAV's are too hard to kill right now. |

Free LAV's less HP, higher sig profile, 2 minute cooldown after loss of free LAV before another can be called in. Logi LAV, price raised to 2,500,000 ISK (they can out live most tanks) |

I used to agree and like most of your posts but 2,500,000 isk??? I hope you are joking that or mentally deficient. |

They can outlast most attacks, by speed and nimble abilities, outliving tanks with ease, not used for logistics. maybe not 2.5mil, but make them valuable |

This is what I have been trying to suggest :) It is still better than being crushed and dead. At least it gives the poor guy a slight chance to fight back. |

Support- you bring up a good point. With dropsuits, we can survive falls from terminal velocity, and people WITHOUT dropsuits can survive getting run over. For dust mercs, it should be just another part of the battle. |

Btw, I figured out the REAL reason why murder taxis haven't been a problem until now.
Before this build, there was a glitch where running someone over would, about half the time, cause their body to glitch into your LAV, slowing it to a crawl until they despawn. |
