There's nothing like finding a new weapon that you can do at least do somewhat well with in pub matches and is a refeshment to use. However, once one has used and tired every weapon available, there is nothing new to experience in Dust. So today, I present to you a new weapon that would function uniquely to other weapons and would be fun to use, along with being extremely effective in it's own niche.
I call it, for lack of a better name, a Charge Launcher. It's basically a cross between a Mass Driver and a remote explosive. The gun shoots spherical canisters at a MD RoF that contain unstable plasma and can roll after hitting the ground and have a small bounce against walls. Up to 5 canisters can be shot at once, and they do not detonate until the user presses L1 to send a unique electromagnetic frequency that causes the unstable plasma in the canisters to collapse in on itself and explode. The damage of a canister right next to an enemy would, to the basic dropsuits with no armor/shield mods, be a near 1-hit to lights, a 2-hit for mediums, and a near 3-hit for heavies.
There could be a tactical, breach, and assault variant. Tacticals would still shoot up to 5 at a time, but pressing L1 will only detonate the oldest canister. Breaches would do more dmg with a smaller blast radius, and would detonate in a chain relative to launch order when L1 is pressed once. Assaults would be full auto (at the RoF of a breach AR), shoot 10 at a time, detonate like the basic Charge Launcher, and would do significantly less damage.

I Would just recommend changing the thread title to Show this is a Weapon Suggestion Thread.
But it Seems like an Intriguing Idea. Being able to Shoot an MD round and wait for it to Go BOOM. |

This would require a little timing in practice (like most weapons), but it could be a serious match to pretty much every mid/close range weapon. |

seeing as the flaylock is so well balanced, maybe a flaylock AR, 850 rpm, 250 damage + 200 splash damage, 70m range. |

a 'charge launcher' sounds interesting in its own right but the mechanics behind a 'rolling' charge i think would be finiky on this game at the least. but none the less that sounds like a very interesting concept for an area denial weapon.
and an AR flaylock just sounds scary lol |
