There hasn't been contact with Earth for over 20,000 years since the EVE Gate (wormhole from which we traveled to get to New Eden) collapsed, after which there was a dark age where basically all knowledge was lost and we had to restart; I don't think the people of New Eden even know Earth exists.
There would not be a "fellow merc" communicating with us all the way from Earth. Telling us to not come back to Earth is pointless anyway since no one knows where it is. |
