do we look like we care about planetside 2. we are afterall playing dust 514. if we didn't like it we would be playing something else. why does it concern you that people are playing a game they like. if you don't like it then go back to PS2. job done. your happy and we are happy.

i played PS2 for a few months. its boring. yes you get some good fights but other than that there is no purpose to it. you fight, capture half the map. log off and when you come back you start again capturing the same places. there is no consequence to PS2, cod,mwf or any other fps out there. its just mindless repetitiveness. yes dust has a long way to go but it has far more potential than any other fps out there

Dust hasnt and never will merge servers... therefore it is and will always be less on life support.

Don't believe me just go and watch some of the older videos on YouTube. Yes I also played it but did not stick round for long and yes I will check it out on PS4, it's free after all. What I am really looking forward to though is The Division. Will this mean I am going to instantly stop playing Dust the second my pre-ordered PS4 shows up? Hell no! I actually have fun playing this game! That is not to say I am blind to the game's issues, just that I decide for myself what I enjoy doing as opposed to taking the word of some random "journalist" on how good a game supposedly is. Take Last of Us, I freaking loved that game; finished it in two sittings and would recommend it to anybody, no questions asked. However, it is not this all conquering work of creative genius IGN pretends it is. Yes the story line is great and yes it is probably the best game from Naughty Dog (at least in my entirely subjective opinion), but that does not mean it is flawless. Next time you gawk at the great graphics, take a second and instead of looking at the characters or the vistas, go and look into a car with an open window, or the plants in the corners etc. Gaming journalism is suspect at best and certainly no way of choosing what to invest your gaming time in. For me there is only one yardstick that has any merit and that is my own enjoyment.

But it doesn't have the depth that Dust promises. I sort of see PS2 as an arcade version of Dust. I'm curious to see how PS2 runs on the Playstation4, but I will never buy the console.
