I would just like to see AV grenades be able to properly track an LAV in motion. As it stands right now if you through your AVs and the AV lands behind the LAV while it is moving away at any kind of speed at all, the AV grenade will track the LAV but explode behind it and do VERY little to no damage. This is a bunch of crap right here. And then there is the new arming time that AV grenades have now, why do AVs need an arming time? I encounter this arming time all the time and get jilted by it.
Here is how things usually go:
1. LAV zooms by. I through my first AV. It is a hit. I take down all or some of its shields and some of its armor (depending on whether shield or armor LAV).
2. The LAV quickly turns and rushes at me. Before I have the time to line up my next shot it is two late. I throw my second AV but by this time it is already two close. The AV doesn't have time to arm, bounces off the hood, over the car an never explodes.
3. Quickly after this misfire I throw my second AV as he is speeding away. The AV beginns to track but explodes behind him dealing no or next to no damage.
It wasn't like this in the last build. There was no arming time and it an AV began to track it hit. So wtf happend. *shakes his head*
Last night I played a match on the map where objective "A" is on a bridge. I spawned in a little late to the match and dropped from the MCC at "E" and imediately began to run to "A". I was all by my lonesome. A little ways down the maintain said an LAV spots me and starts to head up the mountain side toward me. In the near distance the only viable protection was a medium sized tower so I began two head toward it. The LAV catches me on my way, I through all of my AV grenades and the exact senario that I described above occurrs (friken happens all the time). I made it to the base of the tower though it was just a medium sized smooth structure (nowhere to take actual refuge). And then I spent the next 5 or 6 minutes dodging the LAV around the base of this tower (literaly). The dude stopped three times and hopped out of his vehicle for a few seconds to try to kill me. The third time, I finally killed him. I cursed the day this ******bag was ever born, quickly hacked his vehicle and finally was able to proceed to the battle. It was just a POS Onikuma why was any of this nessesary even in the slightest? Dude had scissors I had rock but I was forced to spend 5 or 6 minutes trying to beat him with paper... Ridiculous.
Anyway, CCP, you need to do something about this.
Sincerely Ignoble Son, LLAV and tank pilot. |
