So, imagine this. You just got shot down. You see the kill feed and all the stat **** of the guy who shot you. A Logibro is trying to save you but being as his client information has your body in the road when you died mid-jump, its in vain as he cant find your ankles to inject the life saving narcotics that bring you back to fighting shape. You want to call for help, maybe give him a hint, but youhave to do that from the map and you just accidentally spawned in on the CRU. Oh wait, bad idea, its camped. Too bad - you just got the bug that locks you into the spawn location and youre doomed torepeat the process.
But what could be done different?
Dying and Confirmed Kills:
In June 2012, when you went down you went down shooting. You could empty an entire mag in desperate attempt to kill your enemy. Some of us liked it and even wanted to expand it by adding in content that let you aim as you fell, but it was eventually bred out of the system. Used to, bodies would stay in play and 'go dark' if it was an instant death or the player bled out/suicided. The body would burn away over time afterward.
Currently, unless you die by explosives or a headshot, your body stays in play to be revived. You can actually 'confirm the kill' by putting a few rounds in their corpse until it disappears to prevent them from being revived. So, lets add onto this.
Option One (small addition): Give more WP for 'confirmed kills'. 5 WP is fine, after all we're just making sure they stay dead.
Option Two(controversial expansion worthy addition): Allow 'last stand' mechanics in which the player can make use of waiting for a revive, or die trying. Immobile and unable to use equipment, give the player an opportunity to defend themselves/their logibro with limited capability. A non-moving target isnt too hard to take out when hes out on shields/armor, five AR rounds does the trick currently.
Reviving:
Lets be real, current system sucks. buggy, glitchy and puts the logibro at some risk along the lines of David in Dino Crisis 2. Iveseen a lot of good ideas for making this better and ill repeat some of them, but heres afew ideas.
Option One (fixing the damned thing!): Currently when a player dies, your client places his body at a different location than where he really is. Makes sticking him witha needle hard if not impossible, and half of thetime it doesnt even work. Logibros already put their lives on the line so lets make this at least work yeah?
Option Two (higher tier injectors are now awesome): Advanced and Proto injectors repair more armor, making less potential for Triage points. Wouldntit be nice if they gave more WP for essentially taking away any youd gain otherwise?
Option Three (expansion addition): Whowouldnt want to just pull that body back for the logibro to do his job? Have asystem to where any player can drag a body and now your frontline can bring their mates back to coverfor their logibro to work without being shot at (as much).
Option Four (expansion addition): Ive seensomeone mention the Brink system and it could genuinely work in dust. Throw the injector to them and let them decide whether or notto use it while you go back about your day
