This line continues to mock the Laser Rifle user (maybe all 12 of us out of the ~6000 person player base) due to the current state of the LR's. I'm really hoping for some LR love and tweaks come 1.2 because you shouldn't have to stack complex light damage mods for a weapon to be somewhat viable.

Today I went 6/5 with the LR an fell to my knees and wept with tears of joy that I went positive with what used to be an awesome weapon, but thank God that I specced fully into the SR's over the LR's. I can feel the woe emanating from those poor souls screaming across New Eden who invested their SP into the LR's, may the Lord and the Empress have mercy on their anguished souls.

CCP I just want to know why you utterly wrecked the LR.

First, you put on irons that obscure the view of your target.
Second, you took a page out of JJ Abrams playbook and added a lovely lens flare
Third you took a page out of DICE's playbook an nerfed the living crap out of it like they did to the FAMAS (yeah BF3'ers you know all about that post patch FAMAS)

All over outcries over the Viziam, the LR was taken, beaten, battered, bloodied, shattered, and then set ablaze to ensure that no one would ever complain again.

No offense CCP - you went overboard.

Laser Rifle has been discussed many times with devs. It will be fixed, it's just a question of when.
To sum up quickly what i said (based on what i read here and there on the forum) it was pretty much :

- Lasers were fine in Chromosome damage wise. Only Viziam was slightly too good.
- Heat built up needed to be tweaked. Maybe it's a bit too strong now.
- Sharpshooter disappearance has hurt the laser a lot. it should have a higher max range and larger optimal.
- ADS sucks.

This and pointing out various LR feedback thread. Just like i did with the tac rifle pretty much. and will do for any thing the community cries out for balance.
