Hello,
I was wondering how proto gear users afford their gear, how much ISK they earn per match? I'm yet to use to a proto suit other than a proto weapon so I was curious how everyone can balance it? Thanks. |

When Uprising hit, long time players received massive sums of isk. It's also possible to break even or profit if you die only once or don't die at all, which happens often if you're good with a protosuit. |

If you're in a good corp that participates in PC it helps as well. I've earned up to 1.4 million ISK from one PC match, and never less than about 800k. |

It's all about reading the situation. If there are an abundance of murder taxis on doing the rounds then you don't want to be running around in your proto suit because who wants to end up as a 130,000ISK hood ornament?
If I'm running with a group of my Corp members I will run proto because that's what they usually run and when you are with friends who know what they are doing you have less chance of dying and also more chance of being revived so even though you might finish a match with 3 deaths you may only have lost one suit because you were revived twice (if you're lucky).
You also need to gauge what the enemy team is like and what the rest of your team is like. If your blueberries are crap snd the enemy team is good then you probably shouldn't run proto gear for that match.
I earn 200,000-300,000ISK for a good match and my proto suit costs 130,000 so I can die a couple of times and still make profit. That and having just under 100million ISK stockpiled helps to lessen the blow of losing a few proto suits |

Pretty much this^
After uprising I had 149mill, after skill books and stocking up fits I was down to 125. I never field anything less than ADV, and even that's rare I'm usually always using a proto fit. Despite my proto addiction my average performance allows me to still make money, I'm back up to 142mill.
Compared to chromosome Heavys are cheap as **** in uprising. My B-series Heavy fit with a Six Kin was around 260-280K, in uprising my Six Kin Proto suit is 180k. |

Thanks. 300k-650k my average game isk rewards...assuming i run something in 0 and lose no lavs...that gets me 4 proto suits or 3 logi lavs...so yeah...not that hard to run proto 24/7 ...u just cant really afford to die more that once maybe twice tops if you wanna break positive from pub matches...but i dont pay for my suits with pub matches |

Yeah that's true, I kinda forgot that. I love my proto swarms and all of the tears I collect by destroying LAV after LAV and killing the guys who think they can murder taxi their way through the game. I do admire some people's tenacity though, they get blown up in their LAV 5 times in a row and they keep calling in more of them, keep up the good work taxi drivers |

after uprising i only had 36 million, now i have 22 mil and a stockpile of about 200 proto suits. if you cosistantly get a lot of kills with only a few deaths here and there you should break even or even profit. |

Uprising huge money flood went into this a whole lot. I run full proto as much as possible (when I play) and even if I go negative on some games I have 240 mill ISK.....1-2 games going negative isk is not going to hurt me. |

As stated, you need to not lose suits (revives or staying alive), and kill stuff. = )
My average in protogear is between 250-350k a match, depending on what the other team is fielding. You'll get those rare militia matches where you're the only one in a protosuit, so you won't make as much. Then again, you aren't dying either.
I don't mean any offense to anyone, but it seems that only people who don't have protogear have trouble affording it.
By the time you've got 10mil SP, you'll know how to play without dying (and after losing 10+ suits, you'll look both ways before crossing the damn street). = D
I've got some decent adv fits that end up costing me more to run. Going 20-5 in a 55k suit costs more than 18-1 in a proto. At least the fits that I run, which are more expensive (non-racial proto).
...and again, running with the corp (and some logis) cuts down on the cost dramatically. That 18-1 might not even be a lost suit. 20-5 turns into a 110k match (generally around half-one third of profit, depending).
Hope that helped.

The previous build was nicer to me than this one is, in that they took away all my stuff..... even my 300 M8 Grenades even though they are still around... didn't mind them taking the 250 Dropships I had as salvage or the 50 assorted tanks and could care less that they took away the 160 LAV's I had lying around.
So, I ended up with close to 350,000,000... since then I have once again restocked my suits to 500 each for ADV and Proto in the LOGI and Assault class and still have about 310,000,000 left.
To clarify CCP stated that you do not get the monies for blowing up a vehicle, it is given to the entire team and then divided by the numbers of players in that match or something like that; I'm not saying you don't get additional money... all I am saying is that you don't get as much as someone paid to use it. |
