right here on the forums.
make a sticky thread on this page, titled CPM voting booth.
then have some one who wants a lot of like over in CCP make a post that looks like this for each candidate.
Name: (name goes here) Corp: (corp name) (time in Corp) Alliance: (Alliance name)
Bio: (Bio submitted by candidate)
Stance on issues being brought to CCP/CPM currently: (Stance on Issue) "basically anything in the request forums"
I think that's about it. for what they need to say now voting process.
make this post 1 week prior to the voting date. but have it locked so people can not post or like it yet, but they can atleast read what the runners have to say.
then on election day open for 8 hours. then close it, this solves the uncontrollable amount of alts being able to use votes. because the max votes one person could have is 3.
how to figure out the votes. most standard way... by the likes at the right hand corner of each post. and the people with the most likes win.
CCP can come up with the screening process maybe a preliminary vote where the top 20 or something move on to the election... same process.
how to inform players in game who don't read the forums well that's up to the devs on how they can post a message when getting online or something. |

...
Two problems with just this piece of your proposal:
1) Dust players live around the world, an 8 hour voting timeframe means it is likely at least some of your potential voters will be asleep. (theoretically I suppose you could fraction the CPM so 2 people came from US time zones, 2 from European and 2 from Far East/Australia, with an 8 hour voting time matching the time zone for each, but I'm not sure that would help much since ...)
2) You can easily create free email accounts, free PSN accounts, and even post on these forums without a character EVER having stepped foot in the game, or even the PSN account having been used on a PS3. I imagine some of the trolls know this already, but the average player should think about this. |

Unfortunately due to technology getting better I can create a script to cycle my mac, port and Ip address and generate reasonable avatar names from a large list of them and vote my best friend end because its a free to play no credit card required game. |

thanks for the reply wolf, yes there would be those who come up with the idea on how to like a comment made but the amount of people that would do that and how many times they vote im not sure would sway the votes, and if there are more then one person doing this would the others be voting for the same person or another.
if people use the method dao came up with of making email accounts then multiple psn accounts, to do that it would take about 10 minutes per account meaning in 10 minutes all they came up with was 3 new characters that they could use to make a like. and for only 18 votes that's an hour of coming up with multiple accounts. so im not sure many people would invest that amount of time. |

your missing the whole point!
its now 'how do people vote' for a cpm, people in the 1st world are very used to how voting works and making a tick box next to someone name...
the question is 'how not to corrupt the voting system' like say the 3rd world...
you have no idea how much time people will be willing to invest, ive seen some gamers do some pretty crazy things!! |
