I'm loving DUST so far, even beyond all the bugginess, and I sincerely hope for this game to succeed. My only question is if there will ever be any plans to implement the MMO in the MMOFPS. It's great being able to have individual skill paths and options for progression, but it doesn't seem to lead anywhere beyond simple 15 minute battles.
I've read that CCP plans to implement some sort of PvE in the future, and that sounds sort of promising, but I'm wondering if there will ever be a plan to bring open-world mechanics to DUST? I realize it's a lot to ask for in these early stages but it would give me hope for this game more than anything else if there was some way for us to do more than queue for battles and pew-pew each other for 10 minutes then go back to the lovely Merc quarters. Part of what makes MMOs so addicting and fun is the sense of community and social interactions, and those seem to be strictly limited to chat channels and voice chat. I realize this is an FPS first, but sometimes I just want to explore the scenery of the game or take part in something other than slaying dragons, you know? |

Open world? If by that you mean romp around on the planets surface just to explore it or something, I haven't read anything about it. |

On an unrelated note Destiny is coming in early 2014, Defiance is out now, the Division is out in 2014 i think, Planet side 2 is out now on the PC and will be coming out on the PS4 this year. |

CCP is ambitious. CCP already has plans to let Eve Online players build their own stargates during the next 10 years. I'm pretty sure they will allow us to roam freely... 10 years from now. |

I will be sick of their **** long before that happens. Icant even play 3 matches in a row without relogging. |
