I highly doubt they would run around with dev blue tags or announce their presence like superheroes so far I know of. Correct me if I'm wrong. What do you think would happen when one of us see their names that we regular see on the forums? It would be chaotic, wouldn't it? Everyone would want to be in their squad. So they probably play alts with strange, unique names and one of them could even be your friend or a corp-mate that you never knew or an enemy that you shot. The only ones I know that run around are the CPM, I've encountered a few of them but never really got to know them personally. What are your thoughts on this? Does CCP literally play with us or just play-test briefly to see if it's working and then move on to the next project? I don't want to sound ignorant and I haven't found relevant information about this. It's just a thought.

Anyway, why the hell would someone devote hours, days, weeks, months and YEARS of his or her life to developing a game that they don't intend to play? Devs are ultimately gamers, and they work on things that excite them. If something doesn't excite them, they work on something else. They play this game, don't ye doubt. It's their baby.

Carebears in EVE are squishy targets that always run from a fight, and usually spend all day mining or making sandcastles. They shed the most delicious tears. Protobear seems to be an EVE Online players way of crying over his opponent fielding superior gear and killing him. Here, the tears flow in the opposite direction. And if it's one of the stupidest things you've heard in your life, there's a whole wide web out there waiting for you, sir.

Most of the devs have their personal accounts on PSN and I dont remember anyone ever being de-masked. They play normally like us. Most of the higher ups sucks. We had a community challenge last summer I believe and I was in one of the battles and I think the Devs got only 5 kills. About a month ago I was in some stress testing for PC to figure out the lags and there was a CCP member on each side. They werent that good either :P
