Do any of the sniper rifles have a longer zoom range or are they all the same in that regard?

I was starting to think the same. Currently working toward Sniper Rifle Operation V and I can't say I've noticed any difference so far. I was just wondering if the top tier were any different. |

You post this crap on every other topic I open on these forums. Frankly, I find such behavior lame beyond belief. What's the deal? You're on SOE's paylist? If PS2 needs this type of shameless whoring to advertise itself, then I suppose the game isn't nearly as impressive as you try to portray it. And from the looks of videos you're posting - it really isn't.
To forum moderators: why is this type of behavior tolerated? These kinds of posts belong to the Locker Room (if anywhere), but I see them spammed all over the forums, most often completely unrelated to the topic.

i almost exclusivly snipe and the only rife ive seen with a longer zoom is the thales and that is a random loot drop only. i havent had a chance to play with the tourny prize rifle yet (missed the signup) ,which i imagine to be even better than the thales, but im certainly lloking forward to geting some from a few corp mates once item trading is allowed and id imagine that has a longer zoom as well. |

Sniper rifles do have different zoom levels, but it isn't dramatic. The tac sniper rifles definitely have more zoom than the charge, but I'd say the difference is only about 15% or so.
The Thales is significantly better than the rest though. |

I've noticed an increase in zoom for the Tactical variants, it's nice. I think we need more powerful scopes though.

can confirm this. uprising brought about slight zoom fidelity changes; the tactical does have slightly more zoom over other variants. the only rifle with a significant advantage in this regard though is the thales |
